hi guys... it's been like months since i last posted... bz wif my studies... btw wanna ask smtg... any1 upgraded their alarm system on ur myvi... thought of upgrading mine coz i find de oem 1's quite troublesome as i hav 2 always double check whether it's lock or not b4 leaving my car... any1 here hav oredi upgraded?? dun mind sharing wat u guys hav done, basically de price u've paid n wat u've done 2 it... advance thx  smile.gif suggestions r also welcome if u guys r interested...
*
basically, u can not upgrade... meaning u can not take out the existing alarm in ur myvi.... as bcoz it got mobiliazer. once u touch the alarm, whole car is death... need to take back to P2 to do...

so what normally people do is add-on another alarm system to existing alarm lol....

Totally OFF as in you park your car.

A stupid question from me ... the situation happens at my housing area.

Is there any damage to the car system if we push the car in the condition whereby the handbrake didn't engaage and the gear is set to neutral?

Thank you.

What u have in ur myvi is just an inmobalizer, so to beef up the security in the car, a 2 way alarm is useful so it can alert the car owners in even of possible intrusion. It will never conflict but its more like a compliment to the inmobalizer.

got the Steelmate 898G and installed it without any problem. the car works fine, though i have to say that the wiring warranty is over since the car's wiring had undergone some modification.
the immobilizer still works, but i've disabled the whole immobilizer system to make way for remote start. if you're thinking of keeping the immobilizer, then the remote start have to go. choose either one, it's either remote start or immobilizer.

the alarm system is piggybacked on top of the original alarm. the original alarm still works, and i could still use the original Perodua remote to certain capabilities. so now the car basically have 2 alarm system on top of each other.
and not to mention remote start, temperature checking, a few kilometre reception, 2 way communication, car status check, engine disabling, starter disabling, fuel pump cut off, lock/unlock sound and yada yada.

the original Myvi alarm system sucks.
the immobilizer thingy does work, but most thiefs now brings their own ECU and swap the ECU and render the immobilizer system useless.
