I only have this info when I login to TM Unifi website under "My Account Details". No info regarding the speed upgrade I will get.
Where you all get the speed upgrade info from? confused.gif Clicking "Find Out More" just redirect to the FAQ site of the Free Speed Upgrade 2023.

I am still paying RM129 (excl. 6% tax) for 100Mbps down 50Mbps up speed.

Location of service : Ipoh

UPDATE: After calling TM, they confirmed that I got the upgrade already. So I deleted my QoS limit for bufferbloat and I got ~330Mbps down. It is weird though, I never gotten an email or SMS confirming my upgrade.

Well you can't get around copper physics.

Go start petition among your local community about interest in fiber internet.
This is now lots of old area got their fiber.
TM won't justify investing on infra only if only a single person want to use.

I'm surprised there are still places without fibre infrastructure. My grandparents' semi-kampung area in Negeri Sembilan has fibre.

This one comes with unlimited local tm to tm line calls right? Unlike fibre need to sub std20.

N.S. going with pulling extension of extension, instead of pulling whole new cable/port, while doing this greatly limiting the total shared bandwidth, but at least everyone got fiber.

And yes, I think still also got a lot limited by the 30M VDSL at building as well. sweat.gif

My package is 800mbps. Asked unifi and I get this,

It seems like the "special upgrade" remark may mean 800mbps will get 2gbps, else those with 800mbps get the least benefit in this campaign. Everyone else get double speed upgrade, but 800mbps get only 1/4 speed upgrade.

CPE should mean Customer Premises Equipment, which include BTU and router. For 800mbps customers, the BTU and router should already support 1gbps as the network port speed scaling is 100mbps, 1gbps, 2.5gbps etc. So, if the CPE replacement is required, it means that it should be more than 1gbps.

The 2gbps package unifi is offering is actually 1gbps+1gbps, some sort like load balancing style. So perhaps the CPE replacement is due to this?

I think there is some reasons why it need a CPE renew. (my guess only)
1.The last dlink onr given in last year is not stable enough for users to use it,and they decided to terminated the ONR for newer unifi users.
2.Many user that using 1/2gbps plan cant hit more than 940mbps with cable, and they complain about it. (So a 2.5Gbps BTU might be needed for those high speed users)
3.The current BTU given was setup with only Port 1 is internet.(Which mean the max speed without changing current BTU will be 1gbps(Actual max speed-930mbps)
,those BTU might be reusable by reconfigure, but some of those is old,and the device is aging, and performance might not be enough to run 2gbps.

4.There are alot of area unifi infrastructure is not updated to support high speed plan, which might be a problem when there are more household under same OLT that subscribe to higher speed plan and running at the same time.

So it should be the reasons why the unifi still haven't upgrade current 800mbps or higher speed plan.
And i guess within 30-45days it should be some update news about it, since the Chinese new year had just passed.
