Can use Frigate NVR addon in home assistant for people detection and send an alert through your phone through the Home Assistant app. Everything is programmable , you just need the skills to write the automation script for it.

Not only Google Home.

90% of Tuya stuff is compatible with Google Home and Alexa and sometimes Apple Homekit.

I bought the global one. Slightly more expensive but can support both HomeKit and Google home. I bought mine almost 2 years ago and it’s the older hub. Iirc China one doesn’t support Google home.

Is Tuya smart switch good? OR Xiaomi switch and other?

Anyone knows why some smart switch got live wire, some don't have?

Neutral to power the switch.

But nowadays without neutral they can still power the switch via some magic trick that I am not going to explain because I am electrical engineer and you are not.

Obviously neutral is best but your house lighting switch no neutral one.

Just buy without neutral and without need for capacitor. Don't buy the one that need capacitor. You will regret.

Search for "without neutral" + " without capacitor."

Alexa echo show got built-in zigbee hub support, not sure if it works with tuya one.

Also, say I install 3-gang zigbee, 3-gang zigbee, 2-gang zigbee.

I can all connect to the zigbee hub right and give each unique label? Noob here.

I see, now it’s more difficult to find the global version hub. My experience with China server one isn’t good. Will disappear from HomeKit and require re-setup. It’s collecting dust now lol.

We’re talking about Aqara not xiaomi itself. Aqara is a sub business that’s more focused on non china. I think xiaomi also have global version and we should get that one instead of china version.
