Just an update on my SWU3 switch.

1. Technician came today and gave us FibreHome routers, Unfortunately (Damn Seremban).

2. I'm not sure if its congestion or server issue, but I'm getting very wobbly speed test results ... 320 .. 430 .. 190 .. 220 .. 390

3. Technician stated I need to wait at least until evening to ensure I get the smooth transition.

4. Technician himself admitted that TPLink router is way superior ... Second Dlink .. So he said I can continue using my AX20 if the Fibrehome routers are unsatisfactory.

5. Need to monitor why wobbly speed.

How come reddit.com/r/Malaysia no talk about SWU3? All T20 there, no need discount izit? Or too kiasu to share?

i got fiberhome too.. 2.4ghz worse than tenda ac18.. after 1 hour, no connection for both 2.4 n 5ghz wifi.. don know what prob..

can i reset this fiberhome router then setup wan n wifi again??

I also just sub to SWU 3.0 300>500 and straightaway received sms on Install Date. I ask 3 people at TM Point, all mentioned the same 500Mbps is now forever upgrade instead of 1 year. I guess all we can do is enjoy it and wait on the 2nd year lol. Overall still value to me coming from Rm99 50Mbps which they told me either free upgrade to 100 or 300.

Seeing you guys are having various issues with the given routers, why not just using back the old routers and see if the problems still exist? Frankly speaking, if the old router still working fine, then better don't replace it first. The unifi routers they gave are yours. You can keep them for future replacement. No need so rush to change it now.

Of course, if your old router cannot support the new upgraded speed, then you would have no choice but to change.

My package title is "Unifi 300Mbps - staywithUnifi 3.0 (MESH6)" and it's description is "unifi advance plus 500Mbps".

There is no saying of whether 1 year or perpetual for the 500Mbps.

Overall charge is negative after all the charges are waived, and old 100Mbps package got extra amount to put back into my pocket due to not enough 1 month in the package (Unifi charge is prepaid at the beginning of the month).

And we also found out reason why some get only 1 router, not free 2 mesh router.

when you see so many sign up, 300mbps/500mbps plan at RM119. You'll know TM will have to allocate a lot of priority at them. 

A lot of user when fresh just getting 500mbps, they will use kao kao... after a few months they'll get bored, back to normal usage again.

There is noway TM will just increase 3 months bandwidth temporary to accommodate this. They are expecting everyone get bored of it, then line become lighter usage again. Thats the time to upgrade remaining user to let them syok.

so that prove that Unifi routers are indeed crappy.

Luckily I did my homework in here before the installer came. I told him not to install anything. After he settled everything, I did speedtest, done. I happy because everything goes smooth and my setup is untouched. He happy because he no need to do extra works and can leave early. And i just bought new router afterwards. Not sure what to do with those Unifi mesh routers though.  LOL.
