Battousai, is it okay for me to buy a advanced/intermediate level of racket since I don't want to change racket every years to cope with my increasing experience, I'm a beginner btw. Other than that, I would like to ask about the fees required in this game, I got quoted rm50 per 1 on 1 lesson and that is very expansive compare to my rm5 per person in badminton (group). I am wondering, how long do I need to enroll in those private lesson and join a cheaper group training to save my dad's wallet? Thank you very much.
*
go intermediate level straight on. buying beginner racquet for guys is a waste of time. and well advanced racquets when u're advanced enough then only purchase them. rm50 is cheap. my fees itself is rm70 starting. well group lessons cheaper yes but u get less attn. and i had this student who played for many years but coz only went group lessons the strokes were still very bad till i corrected them. so there must be a balance. i only recommend group lessons for kids coz they like to compete and copy so they learn fastest that way. even though money's good for group i myself dont do them unless for really social adults

Is one hour sufficient? My badminton training is at least 2 hours.

1 hr u take private and hope ur coach is good enough by 4-6 months bring u to at least a playable club level player. 2 hrs yea for u is wasted. jz take lessons n find friends or wall to play with

I miss playing with the Prince Triple Threat Graphite OS racquet.
That is a damn good racquet.
Any idea how much would one cost now if there are some old stock available in shops?

Hi everyone!

I currently using Prince O3 Hybrid Hornet MP. Been using since 2007. I'm contemplating on another racket and need suggestion(s).

Here are some of my preferences;

Budget: Doesn't mind
feel: Prefer racket that friendly to my elbow - already kena tennis elbow

Style of play;

Swing: Mostly moderate I think
Backhand: 2-handed backhand (due to tennis elbow)

-----------------------------------

Btw, What ball you guys use when playing? I use babolat ball last 2 months and I like the feel - quite soft.

Haha thanks Battousai, my dad found a cheaper group training for me, it's rm 40-50 for 4x1 hours a month. So is there any recommendation for tennis shoes with budget rm 200?

this is the wilson rm100 shoe. no shoe will last u for few years if u run hard. but if u rarely run which i expect to be in a group lesson then no problem on lasting issue tongue.gif

else wait till sale again tongue.gif

Duralast is the sole's name. Usually comes with the expensive Wilson shoes, but sometimes the cheapers one do come with them as well. So was wondering if there's any ma biggrin.gif.
