I tried the portrait thing as well, I find it a bit gimmicky, cuz for it to work you need to manually touch to focus and press the f symbol. It's not like I can quickly point and shoot then able to adjust the focus later. Probably I'm doing it wrong?

In normal photo mode, the phone will switch to portrait mode if detect human with certain background. When portrait mode is on, your photo can adjust focus point during edit mode.

This is why I find it very helpful
