My recommendation is either iPhone 14 Plus or iPhone 15 Plus, but more leaning to iPhone 15 Plus due to 15 Plus much improved camera and USB C.

A lot of elderly don't like using too heavy phones (from personal experience). But I also see that your mom already decided on a colour for 14 Pro Max so good luck to you 👍
