Even if there is, it makes sense to get the older versions due to the price difference. The 15/15 Plus price is too awkwardly positioned - if you can get a 14 Pro or 14 Pro Max now before they run out of stock it’ll make more sense!

After all, it’s the same chipset and you get more benefits like the higher refresh rate screen, the telephoto lens, the stainless steel frame…

Not really, spec wise 14 Pro and 15 Pro use the same camera
Main: 48MP, ƒ/1.78 aperture
Ultra Wide: 12MP, ƒ/2.2 aperture
Telephoto: 12MP, ƒ/2.8 aperture

while the 15 has a slightly different 48Mp camera with different aperture

Main: 48MP, ƒ/1.6 aperture
Ultra Wide: 12MP, ƒ/2.4 aperture

14 Pro still has the Always on display, 120Hz, longer rated battery life, Macro photography, night mode portrait,ProRaw, ProRes, LiDAR and etc

The only upside of 15 is probably the USB-C and software locked SmartHDR 5 and the new portrait feature.

Great choice bro. For General users, the Pro Cameras are kinda over the top for general use, and something like battery life is more important.

In addition, this is 1st year that standard non-Pro iPhone get 2x optical quality zoom, so having 2x optical zoom camera puts it on par with iPhone 12 Pro telephoto with iPhone 15 series better main+ultrawide, which to be fair is already enough for General users. 😆

But if you can find a 14 Pro Max still in stock and cheap now, I’d argue that’s still a better buy than the 15 Plus

Japan iphone 15 is so cheap. U can get almost 800 ringgit lower without tax.

From the photos it seems like pink, black and green look more prominent, the yellow and blue look kinda white. We’ll have to wait till we see the actual demo sets next week, I guess.
