Has anyone done the RAM installation by bringing your own RAM yet? Results? Did anyone give you a hard time?

I wanna ask EEE users.

If you all do heavy-typing like say for 1-2 hours, is it comfortable? I read one review, they say can get Carpal-Tunnel easily? lol

I've only tested it for awhile and the k/b seems nice to use. However, please do enlighten me on long-term usage.

I know the EEE is not meant to be used as a main laptop (it won't be my main one anyway), but this is just something that really matters to me.

Thank you.

they should have them in stock... just got another unit on saturday and they had plenty left... just bear in mind that the most it can be is a notebook companion and nothing more, if you're cool with that, you'll be really happy with the eeepc...

maybe we should organize a small eeepc gathering hahahahahhaahaha...

actually, i don't do much with my main notebook anyway, which btw is like 3 times the weight of the EEE. sweat.gif
i just use it to surf, chat and type out some documents. so the EEE is perfect. biggrin.gif
i leave all the heavy stuff like graphics/web/media editing to my desktop.

hmm. kinda nice to have a gathering too. for kicks. laugh.gif

only 1 RAM slot for Eee PC. You can slot either 1G or 2G DDR2 RAM in it.

But, for me, there was no different between 1G and 512mb RAM. But with 1G, you can use RAMdisk to boost up the IE or other application with TEMP.
