Just wondering.
Do any of you guys use bluetooth dongles with the Asus EEE running on Linux? What kind of bluetooth dongle brands and models are supported? Thanks! |

I wanna ask EEE users.
If you all do heavy-typing like say for 1-2 hours, is it comfortable? I read one review, they say can get Carpal-Tunnel easily? lol I've only tested it for awhile and the k/b seems nice to use. However, please do enlighten me on long-term usage. I know the EEE is not meant to be used as a main laptop (it won't be my main one anyway), but this is just something that really matters to me. Thank you. This post has been edited by shockk: Nov 26 2007, 05:56 PM |

QUOTE(yoroi @ Nov 26 2007, 06:43 PM) they should have them in stock... just got another unit on saturday and they had plenty left... just bear in mind that the most it can be is a notebook companion and nothing more, if you're cool with that, you'll be really happy with the eeepc... actually, i don't do much with my main notebook anyway, which btw is like 3 times the weight of the EEE. maybe we should organize a small eeepc gathering hahahahahhaahaha... i just use it to surf, chat and type out some documents. so the EEE is perfect. i leave all the heavy stuff like graphics/web/media editing to my desktop. hmm. kinda nice to have a gathering too. for kicks. QUOTE(iRonTech @ Dec 22 2007, 03:35 PM) uh? ver 2.3.1 ? Pidgin is very straight forward messenger app. thanks for the advice! i tried Google-ing but can't find any good ones. try follow wiki.eeeuser guide update to 2.3.1 see solve it not. alternative way, u can get the aMSN which support webcam. 1)apt-get install amsn , press N. (copy down the packages name except amsn,) apt-get install xx1 xx2 xx3 (packages name from above but except amsn) 3)then, go amsn.com get the ver 0.97, use package install amsn.0.97.x.x command to install it. * b4 step 1, u need get the yuren lazy 0.04 package to make changes on sources.list file, then apt-get update http://yurinfore.blogspot.com/ will try this later. still have the old Pidgin version in the EEE. |

Yeah, in the seller's latest thread he mentioned that the new units priced at RM1298 will have webcam. So maybe that is why the price increased from RM1100.
