I just received my Windows XP eee PC like few hours ago. Everything is great so far. However, those bloatwares like Microsoft Works Adobe Reader eats up this space up to 3.5 gig +- which is ridiculous. Uninstall those and I got like 1 gig left.

Waiting for my mouse, 2 gig of ram and SD card from newegg. Then, I will be doing those tips from XeNOS like ramdisk stuff and others. Anything I missed and should do with this cutey guys?

Let me know.

Thank you. Yeah I'll try whatever I think would be useful. Maybe I should do short review for this. Or how-to for some windows hack that might be useful to windows users on eee PC. I am bad when it comes to hardware hack lol.

Would appreciate it if you can recommend some places to buy accessories for EEE in Taipei as I'll be there next week. TIA.

Taipei Main Station --> Come out to Shinkuang Mitsukoshi --> right side.. there's a Nova.. there's some stuff there.

Ba De Rd Sec 3 Kwang Hwa market --> along the streets many shops to hunt.

But the real accessories are bought online via yahoo auction --> tw.bid.yahoo.com

yup indeed thank you. Mine comes with XP, so how do I do that ramdisk thingy? sounds important stuff but nowhere I could see in the guide @ i64x site.

I did a window hack that parse admin password (let everything's load while there is password before using windows; instead of load after key-in admin password). So far I like everything bout it. Got my ram and new mouse earlier this morning.

Added on April 12, 2008, 9:39 amAlso, how do I wipe out the old driver ? I have the same problem (that echo thingy which is annoying) when I use Skype (tho I never used it; usually I only use VoipStunt). and yeah it's not just PC to PC, it happens even PC to home numbers.

Thanks for the reply xeNOS. I am not quite sure for voipstunt to be able to do that. Good thing about voipstunt can make phone-to-phone call which cost only like cents of money.

It's like voipstunt calls u and then it connects u with the number u want to call. For malaysia land-line is free but it requires to have a credit say 10 pound in the account.

For US I think it's free both landline and handset. When I said it's free means it calls phone line, not PC. duh.

Added on April 12, 2008, 11:15 amPlus, if u're thinking like real conference or meeting calls, there are better applications like pal-talk or better which u dont have to install anything (all u need is internet browser and adobe plugins for the browser). If that's what u're thinking tho, if not skype would do the job good enough.

got a friend here using "Interenet Call " (phone to phone)and i think it almost like voipstunt. What u do is just key in the tel no of both party, then the 1st party's phone(house/mobile)will ring, then u take up the phone and wait for the 2nd party to answer.

It's good if u are out station.U just need to key in ur Hotel's phone number and ur house's phone number (as 1st party). Then ur family's member just pick up the phone and tell the operator ur room number....but of course u need to inform ur family's member 1st. smile.gif

The table of charges show it's free in some country and the rate is very cheap too.The good news is u can try any time with the FREE TRIAL,but with limited talk time iof course.

Just to share.
