Sorry...I didn't manage to update this yesterday,

I went for the Orange BHP Run 9KM

Arrived at the Curve about 6.50am. Walked out from the car park towards Fitness First area.
Met up with Frank, Smallbug, AKchang and yklip. The rest were Pacemaker gang like PM1....and..er...the rest

biggrin.gif

Finished the run and clocked at 1 Hour 12mins. I like this run alot....my pace was very much consistent from the beginning.

Side stitch came during the uphills but I continued to run just to see how it goes...eventually the pain went off.

Collected the goodie bag.....rested awhile with the rest of RunnerZ.

After that we cabut....I headed back to the car park to change my clothes. I had to go IKEA to get some stuff before going for breakfast.

THIS IS MY BREAKFAST. A nice run....followed by a good breakfast....

This is non BB related but I really want to share with you guys here.

PROBLEM: MSN Live Messenger HANGS every few seconds and returns to normal!

Reason?
This issue may occur if Windows Messenger is using the SSDP discovery process to determine if there is a upstream Internet gateway device. Windows Messenger does not use the built-in Universal Plug and Play services. Windows Messenger formats and sends the SSDP discovery messages.

RESOLUTION
Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
322756 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/) How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

To resolve this issue, configure the registry to turn off the discovery messages:

Of course, before this....close your MSN Live messenger

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe). Go to Start-> Run. Type "regedit" without the quotes

2. Locate and click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DirectPlayNATHelp\DPNHUPnP

3. On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:
Value name: UPnPMode
Data type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 2 (Hexadecimal....stupid website didnt state any so I left it at default value)

4. Quit Registry Editor.

Self-added: I did not restart my laptop/pc and it did the trick!

NOTE: If you set UPnPMode to 2, Universal Plug and Play Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal discovery does not occur.

My own stuff:
Note 1: I did not create the solution. Below is the source from Microsoft which I've found upon some googling.

Note 2: I editted the Resolution part for easier understanding.

thanks for all the wishes

I got high fever again today

Sat - 38.5 Degrees
Sun - 38.7 Took First blood test.
Today Weds - 38.8 Took 2nd blood test. No signs of dengue as there were no drastic changes. Also no red spots on my body.

This is my longest period that I am ill in my life....f.ucking unfair... I train hard, eat well compared to other friends...and this is what I get.

life's a bitc|-|

So I blame it on lack of vitamins? I haven't been taking any.

All these while are just food, whey from working out/recovering and fish oil caps.

Added on April 23, 2008, 2:32 pmAlso because of this crap
I can't see my gf, I can't have my fav food....worse of all

I had no idea it was this bad. I'm sorry to hear that as i rarely visit your journal. Let me tell you something, a similar thing happened to me a year and a half ago. I almost died because of pneumonia. My symptoms were like yours except i was coughing out gouts of fresh blood and blood stained sputum from my lungs. I collapsed while trying to walk to the A & E room after parking my car at the hospital lot. They had to bring me in on a wheelchair. I lost almost 10 pounds bodyweight in 2 weeks.

I was desperate to regain mass and strength so i approched Terry Gallyot and Hola Bola for help. They started me on HVT and I've never looked back since. Before that i used to do all that powerlifting/powerbuilding routines which they both never agreed with. Not only have i regained all that lost mass and strength but i am far bigger and stronger than i could ever have imagined possible and i'm still making consistent gains.

So... take heart, consider yourself fortunate that your case isn't as bad as others out there. Have patience, dedication and consistency and you'll regain back whatever you lost.

Good idea to try HVT eh? wink.gif

Small update.

I've recovered from high fever and all but I'm still coughing from my lung infection@pneumonia. Back in office as I didn't want to take any more medical leave.

I won't be going to any gym any more. I'll just workout from home with my dumbbells and bench and participate more running events.
I'm not much of a bodybuilder anyway....As everyone said consistency is the key, so I'll stick to my routine which I was doing previously(Thanks for Darklight and some other friends for the guidance). I still want to be fit flex.gif

So I won't be really posting for awhile as I'm still recovering. No point to exaggerate what I'll do and crap and post a progress picture.

I'll just update when there are real progress to start off with.

Till then, thanks everyone.

All I want to do now is recover from my lungs infection and slowly work my way back up to my consistent exercise routine.

o.O i've lost weight too....as i was really ill .....didnt eat much for the past 2 weeks...from 71KG...I'm like...68-69KG now. There goes my muscle.

But I'm determined to workout again once i'm done. Just not at the gym. biggrin.gif but at home.

My family members, relatives even my gf is really pissed at me for taking protein shake. They are saying its one of the reasons which "might" have caused me to have this pneumonia and high fever...the ingredients etc etc. I know i know....its crap ..i know what i'm taking but to them...its like poison or some shit..haih..I was lazy to argue...so I said OKAY. not taking it any more.

Seriously wtf. I'm still having my 3rd tub....might last 1 more month or half a month if I were to workout and consume it. but I guess it shall be my last tub.

sad to hear that man.

I guess you really need to take it slow with the workouts and proteins right now and slowly get your body back to where it was. Then take proteins in moderations as you really need to dismiss that fact that it caused the pneumonia.

Or, you can hand that tub to me tongue.gif

Glad to see you're ok and recovering man biggrin.gif

For now, I'm just doing brisk walks around my taman. Can't even run yet as I tend to cough. really can't run....which I missed dearly.

Can't wait to be fully recovered. =) I'll put my bench into use again...its been collecting dust for awhile....

Also I went to see my sister's condo Kent 3 near SS2. The gym there is SUPER small....all it has is 1 treadmill, 1 er...what do you call that? like a ski machine...

The huge all in one machine has the usual lat pulldown section, IT HAS LEG PRESS! LOL. also Leg Curl section. Another section is chest press but i saw it was incline chest press..not sure if I can the bench to a straight 90 degrees.

NO DUMBBELLs.
