Sorry to bother,
What's a dumb bell kick back?
I've been doing weight training for too long but I have no idea what's the name for most of my exercise.

U have a gym at home?
That is so nice, I was thinking of just getting a threadmill to put at home. Well, I am paying a lot of money to a commercial gym. Hopefully, my company will sponsor us somewhere down the track. |

Good stuff, you are making good progress, keep up to good work.Hmmm I mean exercises.
I have been doing weights for a good 5-6 years since I started. Getting to know lotsa ppl from all walks of life and of cause doing what I enjoyed, lifting weights with the addition of really sweaty cardio sessions. Yeah gym is expensive, so are the supplements but I don't take any because too broke to support that. Check out my workout journal if you are interested. kianwei.blogspot.com |

Reply to Canopies,
HHmm not really ler, just an average guy with broader chest and shoulders. Also I haven't been taking any supplements since 3 years or more ago. However still managed to push forward but at a slower rate. Reply to Metalfreak, I don't really know why I black out my face because I saw the others do so. Seems like a trend haha. In addition, I welcome all comments and opinion in my workout blog. *PS That photo was taken 4 years ago, a year or 2 after I started gym. |

Dear Canopies,
First of all I would like to apologize to Metalfreak for hijacking his workout journal here. In regards to photos, I seldom take any photo for that matter even with my t-shirt on. In addition, I still feel that I am quite fat. Only wanna take photos after I lost my beer or maybe red wine gut....Used to get drunk a lot, good feeling through but too expensive to keep that habit over here. Will definitely take one these days. Sorry again, Metalfreak. Cheers, Ken |

Metalfreak,
Resting when sick is better than forcing yourself to exercise IMHO. Hey, at least the doc didn't tell you that you weren't sick enough to warrant an MC. I got that the last time, haha. Went for another doctor for a 2nd opinion. *PS. Pollution here is very bad too. Probably one of a factor why people get sick every now and then. Cheers. Ken |

Haha, Yeah don't waste food especially with the increament of prices of flour and cooking oil.
Eh you don't need to work today? Nice... Best not to jog on cold weather, especially less than 10c (but not in Malaysia). Tried that twice (back in Melbourne during winter, less than 5c), water crystalized in lungs, felt really crap. I am going to gym after work say 6:30 pm, later dude. |

IMHO, I think it depends on quite a lot of factors though.
There's this guy in www.bodybuilding.com who runs on average 40-60km per week. Not only he has six packs, he has quite a decent size body. I reckon he is one of the successful one in gaining six packs without losing too much mass. I think his photo is under the 10 ten tips for cardio exercise or food intake. He wears spectacles and have really short hair. |

@ shanecross
Funny, the last time I bought the organic peanut butter tasted more oily than the Kraft one. @ metalfreak Kudos to your soon to be 10km runs. Also your journal thread is the most active one. |

Sounds reasonable RM40. I think I'll get one as well. I'll do those pull ups and chin ups on my off days.
So far I max out like 4-5 reps of chin up and 2-3 reps for pull ups. Damn crap. Finally Friday, too bad is gonna rain big time, should have brought my gym equipment. |

Fitness First 3 months package is really expensive, not mistaken it cost like RM179 per month for home package (that's usually for per month per basis for passport)
Get your employer to sponsor your gym, mine did. I am paying like RM130 for passport at the moment, still expensive but oh well. * In addition, don't pay any joining fees (no matter what they say), administration fee is RM99 if not mistaken. |

Eh I got that last week (since last Tuesday). Viral attack. I'll drank like 4 litres of water everyday but no good, had to see doctor on Friday and took a medical leave.
Sore throat and joints pain. A lot of people got sick for last week and this week. Must be an outbreak. |

Uh, I did something similar like yours when I started out. The Darklight and Edmund version except without Deadlifts and the abs exercises at all.
Frankly I can't really tell which is the proper way to deadlifts, I have seen those which uses the legs and one that doesn't use the legs at all (ie. just moving back forward and back, I think that's pretty dangerous) For both incline benchpress and flat benchpress can use both dumbbells and barbells. I started out unable to balance the bar with weights properly (anything above 40kg, the bar would tilt). I practises that with dumbbells while not neglecting the barbells version. Took me like one year just to balance the bar with above 40kg. Cheers |
