If you have PSP Phat, the best firmware to run PS1 eboot is v3.40OEA or v3.52 M33-4 with some modification to the flash0.
*
Well, is the modification to flash0 really necessary to play PSX games? I'm using V3.71 M33-2, but I never touch the flash0 also. unsure.gif

Hi guys, there's a shop near my place (Holiday Plaza) selling PSP Slim for RM750 with standard stuffs and 4GB mspd as well some games unsure.gif , I'm quite skeptical even if the mspd is fake sweat.gif but need some advice to prevent from buying the "not the one it should be" if you know what I mean.

I'm going to get one soon and wanna ask if the fake mspd is reliable as so many shops selling it nowadays...
*
i dont see much ppl having problem with 2gb fake mspd...

but few guys, including lowyat ppl having prob with 4gb version...

thus my recommendation , avoid fake mspd for 4gb... but should still be okay for 2gb

QUOTE(nate_nightroad @ Oct 30 2007, 12:46 PM)
hey my friend is getting a psp slim with 2 4 gb memory stick pro...the price is rm970....izzit worth it?
*
rm800+ can get you psp + 4 gb... thus adding about RM170 for another 4gb doesnt sound too bad....but its not that good offer either...

if you dont have the $$$ , go for it, else get an original card (about RM240 for sandisk 4gb)....

I see, I heard about it as well as I did some searching in this forum... also may I know which shop in Holiday Plaza JB is most reliable and honest? I do not wish to end up with a recon set sad.gif

hopefully soon, I'll join you guys and take some time to learn about this PSP thing here. Also thanks tot31 for the advise on backup the nand flash thingy, I'll ask the shop to do it for me.

what is a good case for the psp slim, pls?

i want to use the logitech one but it is not made for the slim yet.

currently using crystal case -- it is really nice but the case scratches easily. but that is okay as long as it doesn't scratch / damage the psp.

Yeah I wanted to ask the same question regarding the casing too. I am considering getting the silicon case but is it good? I bet it will be a dust magnet.

guys/girls......i am going to get myself a PSP Lite/Slim soon but got some questions that I really need your help on.....been reading this thread but getting confused with multiple answers that sometimes contradicts each other. so hope the gurus here can help to clarify:-

1. flash0 and flash1. i am not suppose to touch this. so........where do I usually find this? when connect my usb cable, will I see the flash0 and flash1?
2. can flash 0 and flash1 be modified from the psp? if yes, how do I avoid it?
3. how to differentiate pogressive scan and interlace scan tv so that I know which cable to buy
4. changing the theme in PSP/Theme folder, its .ptf files right? so this is found on the MSPD?
5. to backup the nand, do I need extra hardware? will a usb cable, MSPD and my PSP Lite do it?
