PSP games only can be played on TV with progressive scan supported.
or else.. u only can access XMB, pictures and music on TV...

now i guess u want to ask how to check ur tv support progressive or not rite?

yes there's a risk.. even with legit ways u still need to upgrade the firmware to latest firmware.. only it is a official firmware.. it's the same thing. new games comes with new firmware in order to run it..

so it's the same as CFW.. if u follow the rule of thumb when updating.. no problem at all.. i just want to say to the newbie guy that even with OFW, if he did not follow the instruction, there's still a risk.. just dont want him to misunderstand.

Added on November 16, 2007, 6:05 pmfirmware update comes inside the UMD itself.. let say the game require 3.71 firmware.. then inside the UMD itself got 3.71, just run the update... so no need to go to sony centre or what.

no... ps2 is lot more powerful than psp...i think psp would never ever emulate ps2.. even 40gb ps3 cant emulate it.

yes i know... just want to add some spice lah...40gb is capable of doing it since the 80gb only do software emulation to run ps2 games.

older firmware dont have any theme(PTF) files. so in order to change wallpaper,wave,gameboot,cintro,icon,sounds.. we have to flash it to flash0..or use cxmb plugin. that's why some slight mistake could brick the psp while replacing the theme.

from your statement, i can assure that u are newbie and really noob bout this scene..no offence.so to make things safe.just use PTF theme.ok. no problem at all with that. we're talking bout other type of theme here..like what smoke just posted..see the differentiation between original? i mean location of icons, clock and others.

the psp only brick if u kacau it's flash files...files that is in your PSP.. not in your mspd..so playing games and movies never brick ur psp.
