July 23 update - watch the blue line video

QUOTE
In celebration of Sarawak Day, we’re excited to share the latest aerial view video of our Blue Line alignment. The Blue Line, which will connect Kota Samarahan and Kuching, will cover key locations such as UiTM, UNIMAS, Sarawak Heart Centre, Swinburne University, Sarawak General Hospital and Hikmah Exchange, among many others.
Construction of Stage 1 of the Blue Line (Rembus – Stutong) package is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2025, while completion of Stage 2 of the Blue Line (Stutong – Hikmah Exchange) package is expected by the end of 2026.

One has to ask, has Sarawak Metro done any engagement with the OKU/PWD community in Kuching?

Ping them in fb. As off now I had never read any updates on OKU access. The waiting area needs to be slightly elevated to allow users is wheel chair to enter the ART.

I think kuching pedastrian pathways is worst than KL. Water front only can walk. Even the Padugann cat statue area also difficult to walk

The original plan was always to connect Santubong and Damai: https://www.theborneopost.com/2018/03/29/lr...tional-by-2024/

Kesian if no covid we would have lrt edi. Already 2024. After covid changed to cheaper ART but slsaraeak can show case to the world on how vehicles can be powered by 'water' h2o. If the cost of hydrogen can be further brought down can become main stream, Sarawak can in the history books. 😜😝 Dream big yall lol

Under the Red Line, there will be seven (7) stations, including one (1) interchange which is located at Simpang Tiga.

Stations under the KUTS Project are divided into at-grade stations and elevated stations. They are equipped with lifts and escalators (selected stations only) which allows ease of access for the elderly, pregnant women, and people with disabilities (PWDs).

Additionally, all stations will be equipped with an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system, Passenger Information Display System (PIDS), and CCTV to ensure safety and convenience for all passengers.

Aiyo they said want to move the airport right to another area. Hopefully there will be aero line to connect the new airport yo ART line.

The one in the video looks promising.

If it is anything like KL with their LRT, it will have to be overhead. The old parts of KL are not that dissimilar to Kuching Old Town: limited space. See how they did what used to be called the Star and Putra lines
*
What rst comes to worst road over road lah. But during constructions will me messy but as it's just road no need to lay tracks, should faster no traffic obstructions would be minimal.

simpang tiga will be more jam than alreeady is... heheh
*
It should be the opposite. People can be dropped at any stations. Or Atleast the station with the closest journey to the destination. Cars no need to be driven all the way to simpang tiga. Provide covered walkway n I belive people will be willing to take ART to go to work n come back from work.

Simpang tiga got lots of government buildings right. Run dedicated simpang tiga last mile buses. 15mins per bus during peak hours? With dedicated bus lanes 😜

That's why it's picked as the interchange station kan. So the first two lines can go straight to Simpang Tiga. Some where near king center n near the Spring edi right. I also ingat ingat lupa. I only know king centre there not lottery shops 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

By ship?

Kuching got own fueling station. The rembus depot also will have fueling station. If I recall correctly kuching has hydrogen production facilities for the current fleet ( two or 3 lol) hydrogen buses in Kuching
