QUOTE(waja7968 @ Jul 20 2023, 10:42 AM) The 5G CPE I bought from 'Taobao' not hot liked what you stated; touch on the casing, feel warm only. My 5G AX with temperature monitoring. Both CPU and board with temperature monitoring. The heat sink is super big that also it throttleBtw, I power daily starting 7.00am and power off at around 10.30pm. About 1 weeks plus it operated that way. This post has been edited by OlgaC4: Jul 20 2023, 11:00 AM |

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Jul 20 2023, 11:00 AM) I think those 5G CPEs using Qualcomm X62, X65 or X70 (too new, might not exist in current market available CPE yet) RF module support NR-CA ( https://www.quectel.com/news-and-pr/quectel...pp-r16-standard ). Btw, all three, e.g. X62, X65 and X70 are manufactured using 4nm process, should more or less solve the heat problem (I hope).Based on this website description -> https://www.3gpp.org/specifications-technol...ases/release-16 those 5G RF module that claimed support 3GPP release 16, should be NR-CA ready. Example: QUECTEL RM520N-GL (using Qualcomm X62 modem) NR-CA combination info https://forums.quectel.com/t/what-ca-combin...nd-rm520f/16714 From the explanation for NR-CA here -> https://www.rfwireless-world.com/5G/5G-NR-C...ion-basics.html It also depends on telco infrastructure whether it offer it or not, for Malaysia I think CA for 5G not so fast as the frequency range for 5G so limited. Did not on wifi as i am connecting it to my x50-4g which serve as an AP now. I just recently got my U home 5G sim card. This is my test result:
5G: 600mbps dl; 30-100mbps ul 4G+: 10-20mbps dl; 10-15mbps ul This is tested indoor. About 500m from tower (line of sight except when going indoor where my modem is blocked by 1 brick wall). I am happy with the 5G performance. What worries me is that I'm using 20-30gb daily on the first few days since I'm working from home. Afraid that 1TB allocation is not enough. 20-30gb on a normal day. Some day I would need to download/upload big files (few gigas) so it would be higher. I'm actually surprised about my data consumption because I never cared about it before lol.. I guess the extra 1000gb for rm30 could be helpful during busy month xD Zaryl liked this post
