Lately, quite a few times there is no 5G coverage/signal and connection dropped to 4G+.

Not sure if DNB is doing some 5G tower maintenance in certain area etc. But there is no way of knowing - if they reset or bring down certain 5G tower offline, since you will automatically goes to 4G+.

I think a lot of people didn't notice it much, since it slowed slightly to a normal 4G+ average speed of 50-60mbps from an average of 300mbps+

The big question is, if 5G is down, we complained to U, but it doesn't own the network - since it is owned and maintained by DNB. Same issue like fiber to home under jendela - where TM wholesale (aka unifi) own the overall backbone infra - and maxis fiber or other fiber operators can only do so much if there is any issues.

I've heard a lot of recommendations that for a good 5G sim router, you need to get the one with the latest Qualcomm chip inside. Any particular modem router brand to go for for this? Planning on getting one since Umobile signal at my house area is quite strong (getting close to 800MBps-ish using my 5G phone).

I see, considering this model too, since it's slightly cheaper than the ZTE modems that Umobile recommended. Btw, are u using it directly plug and play or do you lock the 5G bands?

I didn't lock the band, just let it on AUTO. So far haven't lost the 5G signal and downgraded to 4G yet even during rain.
