Not just big, it has built in fan. After a while earlier this year they finally stopped selling it because it was very sought after in the market. In UK, the NR5103E v1(big sized version) good condition unit can be resold for almost 300-400 pounds. 3 UK after that also took it down and reintroduced a cut costing Zyxel NR5103E v2 which is smaller in sized, has only 2 antenna ports and only comes with Gigabit ports unlike the v1 which has 2.5Gbps ports.

DNB infra is showing its age already. It is now showing difficulty keeping up with upload speeds especially during peak hours. It does not only affect Yes but also Umobile and CelcomDiGi 5G. During peak hours I could get below 10Mbps upload speeds despite achieving over 50Mbps during offpeak hours.

Yeah, not the network issue. It's the modem. I've replaced more than 5 times. The last modem lasted me almost 2 months before it started to disconnect and random reboot.

They should change the ZTE modem to others.

Hi, what do u guys think about the free 5g router come with 2 year subscription? I tested the speed for the router is only 50-60mbps, while my 5g phone hotpot can reach 100++ maps. Is that something wrong with my umobile 5g router?

Or u guys change to use another brand of router? If so, what brand do u recommend ya?

the restart issue..well my personal view is I think not all UM issued ZTE router has the same restart problem. Two of my neighbours using the ZTE router from UM both more than 11 months now and so far based on their feedback I can confirm they have not suffered any restart problems..only thing is once in a while router will switch to 4G for 30-45 mins before switching back to 5G

i agree with you that fiber is wins alot batter then 5g

5G suitable outdoor mobile usage only and if outside anywhere can use 5g with laptop hotspot for outdoor open place

Hello. My relative is now on uhome 5g with free router with contract already one year and now slowly getting so much worse until now barely usable. Even sometimes in the night got no internet at all.

Still got 1 year contract left. Was thinking, is it possible to switch to umobile fibre broadband without paying penalty fee?

Also does the fibre support landline?

Would much better they be on the 79 for 100mbps by umobile itself

wanna share 1 trick for u guys to locate best spot to place your 5G modem router.

take a samsung 5G phone and dial *#0011#

then select your 5G sim (sim1 / sim2)

then place your phone on the spot you want to put the 5G modem router.

check and see which spot has the best RSRP signal. (-80 is stronger than -90)

normally the corner of the wall near window has better signal.
