whats the purpose of having the can am anyway? you'll get stuck in the traffic, have to wear raincoat if it rains, pay high roadtax, and how about getting thru toll booth?

it is individual preferences. Some may like harley but some only superbike. Even more with naked here compare to full fairing. Different people with different like

City driving better take Honda CBR 250...

What about other options in Malaysia for a cruiser similar to VN250? I find VN250 to be very expensive so looking for cheaper options. Do Yamaha have any 250CC cruisers. Virago is a very old model already. Btw, anyone knows what the market price is like for a 2-3 year old VN250?

Like VtecTurbo said.... Ur best bet would be Honda Shadow 600..... One of the best engine....

Virago's engine is rougher and Virago 535 is always plague with electrical probs....

Other alternatives would be Vulcan 500... ( can get below 10k) Shadow is abit expensive....

VN 250 is not worth it.... laugh.gif

just wondering, anybody using superbikes (500cc and above) for daily ride? how is it like in terms of managing traffic in urban areas?

I saw the ER6F in the flesh, saw the price tag, and I think hmm..why not.

ER6F and N is just a little bit bigger than rxz, they are even smaller than those sym scooters. you will not have any trouble using it daily. just dont put big side boxes or saddle bags then you'll be fine.

if you have the cash, look around for 2-3 months old used bikes (accident free of course). normally you'll save around 3-5k and sometimes you could get a bike with accessories worth 2-3k together with the saving.

i do.

gained some leg and shoulder in the process

need a bit of adjusting, coming from a scooter background

fc is bad. 10sen / km. a full tank of rm 20 of ron95 last 210km

calfs get burned when bike is stationary and it's hot as hell

definitely not a practical choice

but it's worth it. got gaya what. hahahah

hahaha.. I only ride once in a blue moon and no bike at home. but like what you said. gaya mah! the ER6F is really nice, and the price is within reach. but that kinda FC is really bad -- though still cheaper than cars.

you riding the ER6F? btw how tall are you and can you flat foot on it?

6n - naked

165cm, if both foot, toe in only

but usually when i stop, the left foot stays on the gear changer and the right foot is flat footed (of course, this is with riding boot, if sneakers, still have to toe a bit)

i ride daily to work (except sunday when i just let the bike stay in the sun).

best part of my ride is tapau those moped kids who think their LC is fast, or any ah bengs who ride their beng-ed vios or city like it's an F1 car, but when the lights turn green... 0-100 in less than 5 seconds

and oh yeah, get a litre bike. i thought 1-100km/h in 5 seconds was awesome. dunno in just 3 months, i felt it's sooooooooo sloooowwwwww~~~~ a litre bike can do it in less than 3 sec.
