Guys, I talked to a traffic policeman once and was told that motorcycles with big cc (he didn't define how much is big, but I would assume 500cc above) need not use the motorcycle lanes.

So the question here is, anyone knows of the specific law/rule that says this?

Yes, it is like that, need to use the motorcycle lane... But, me personally have been flag-down on several occasions by those ST1300s n VFRs policemen on the federal highway, but then, i just say that pasir banyak, banjir, no lights, its much more dangerous there than on the car lane, sumore it was mostly during the night i got flag down, so they also acknowledge its dangerous there at the motorcycle lane... Uptill now, they seems to understand... Nvr got ticket for that

Err.... I was told that big cc no need to use the motorcycle lanes.

I've been hearing that, but what I'm looking for is a solid proof of the law.
Don't want to be stopped and summoned, cause I'm pretty sure not all officers are aware of this.

So did you pay the fine? Or have you tried clarifying with the office?

Anyway, the only thing I managed to find so far in regards to this rule is this dated piece of article.

Lorong motosikal kurangkan kemalangan

What about other options in Malaysia for a cruiser similar to VN250? I find VN250 to be very expensive so looking for cheaper options. Do Yamaha have any 250CC cruisers. Virago is a very old model already. Btw, anyone knows what the market price is like for a 2-3 year old VN250?
