its been heading downhill for close to a year - its lower than it was before the war, and if it goes down much further, itll go near where it was when the ruble crashed early in the war.

part of it is the rising interest rate and value of usd, the other reason is the sanctions. sanctions take a while to go into effect and you can see there's very few people talking about "russia is beating the sanctions" nowadays. those people who said the ruble's tied to gold just simply disappeared.

all the bloodshed could have been avoided if Ukraine elected a wise leader that values life , and are well aware of geopolitics limitation of what they can do or cannot do being neighbour to Russia.

🔻Near Kupyansk, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces "West" are conducting a positional attack on the positions of Ukrainian formations northwest of the city.

The situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has seriously deteriorated. The number of casualties as a result of systematic strikes by Russian troops is growing. And evacuation is virtually impossible due to constant shelling and the reluctance of evacuation groups to climb to the front line.

🔻Only today, an accurate artillery strike hit an enemy armored vehicle, which was supposed to pick up the wounded from Syn'kivka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine sent another infantry fighting vehicle, but it also came under fire.

▫️7 counterattacks by 14th and 44th mechanised brigades of the AFU have been repelled close to Novosyolovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic), Sinkovka and Mankovka (Kharkov region).

▫️The enemy losses were up to 55 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 armoured fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles, 1 M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system, and 1 U.S.-manufactured M777 artillery system.

Assault detachments of the 37th Marine Brigade attacked the positions of the Russian army in the area of Urozhayne again last night. As a result of the fighting, the enemy was able to gain a foothold on the northern outskirts of the village and began to equip observation posts there.

On the afternoon of August 10, the Armed Forces of Ukraine intended to attack the defense lines of the RF Armed Forces in the south of the settlement with four groups of marines. Before that, Ukrainian artillerymen shelled strongholds with cluster munitions.

However, two groups refused to advance because of disagreement with the tactics of the "meat assault". The command of the 37th brigade combined two detachments to continue the attack. After several unsuccessful attempts, the Armed Forces of Ukraine withdrew to the original ones.

🔻At the moment, the fighting continues. The northern outskirts are under the enemy, and the southern one is under the fighters of the RF Armed Forces.
