Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin has said that Vladimir Putin was “deeply mistaken” to call him and his forces traitors, telling the leader that he and his men would not surrender.

Mr Prigozhin described himself and Wagner forces as “true patriots”, in the first statement made since the Russian President delivered a televised address on Saturday morning calling the Wagner mutiny “treason”.

In his most direct comments made against Vladimir Putin since the start of the war in Ukraine, Mr Prigozhin said: “And no one is going to surrender to the demands of the President, FSB, or anyone else.”

One possible scenario i can think of is he disarms/destroys the siloviki by turning the MoD to his side. Then he can reduce Putin into a puppet and eventually get him to step aside/abdicate.

This couldn’t have arrived at a worse time since Russians are increasingly having problems along the Dnipro river and while Russians are trying to take potato fields near Kupyansk in hope to lure Ukrainian troops away from the important frontlines.

The Russian defense minister trained guns at West-supplied arsenal to Ukraine amid the war. Speaking at the Russian Army Day forum, Sergei Shoigu called Western weapons far from flawless in reality and said that they were of no use in real combat. His comments came as the Russian Army destroyed Spanish-made mortar for the first time in war along the frontline in Kherson. :lol2:

President Volodymyr Zelensky has criticized Ukrainians for partying amid the ongoing Russian war. The Ukrainian President slammed people enjoying in bars or clubs. Zelensky said that defeating Russia in the war is a 'common national cause.  The comments come after Zelensky visited several military units on the frontline.
