Seems like this is the first CV9040, supplied by Sweden to Ukraine, which was captured by the Russians. The report says it was hit by an anti-tank grenade which makes it likely we are talking about the one that was hit several days ago near Chervonopopivka, north of Kreminna.
US supplied M864 cluster munitions used by the AFU. In this video you can see how the shell releases up to 72 dual-use submunitions which cover a larger area.
Update on the conflict in Ukraine for July 31, 2023
- Ukraine's "big push" over the past week has resulted in minimum gains and massive losses;
- Ukraine's "big push" followed weeks of exercising an alleged "artillery advantage" used to soften Russian defenses;
- Western analysts used the same flawed process to assess Ukraine's artillery capabilities they used to assess the supposed likelihood NATO armor would cut through Russian defenses;
- The US rushing M1 Abrams main battle tanks to Ukraine by fall will make no difference on the battlefield, they are too few in number and no more capable than the German Leopard 2 tanks Ukraine has used in a so-far failed offensive;
- Russian defenses are layered specifically to absorb Ukrainian advances and preserve Russian manpower and equipment as they move back to successive lines of defenses;
- Ukraine's attempt to gain territory amid a war of attrition is only accelerating its own defeat;
- A German army report blaming Ukrainian soldiers for the poor outcomes of the offensive is an unfair attempt to shift blame away from NATO;
Advantage alwayz go to whoever in defense position. When anyone go offence, expected that they will lose more. The period of go offence, when enemy not ready is over. Both party had made multilayers of defensive line already. Very Hard to push.
I guess nobody will win in this war. NATO vs Russia. Ukraine will stay split like North & South Korea in next few decades.

what choice? the western would never allow themselves to be defeated in any wars to come…
You think a former Super Power with thousands of Nukes will accept defeat..? I can see a scenario where Putin will use tactical nukes on Ukraine forces, how will Nato react ? Use nukes as well and risking a full escalation of war on European Union countries ? Highly unlikely, but Putin using nukes is a very real possibility.
putin might use tactical nukes but i think that is even scarier to russia. China already say no nukes in March 2023 and i seriously think NATO might direct intervention if russia did use tactical nuclear weapon.
what putin is most afraid of is losing support within the country and i think any form of nuclear weapon is off the table even for russian elites which is his based of support.

The USA & Nato gave Ukraine support and chance to defeat Russia, but the support is not without conditions, USA is going into election next year, the Republican is not 100% supportive of Ukraine. Time is on Putin's side. The Europeans are running out of patient with the war at their door step. USA & Nato will force Ukraine to accept cease fire and creation of a Buffer zone a DMZ between Nato & Russia. Ukraine will end up like North & South Korea. What choice does Ukraine have ? They are 100% dependent on Nato help, they must listen to Nato's instructions.
why in the world would you think that US and NATO would like Ukraine to stop when Ukraine is helping them deplete whatever military the russia arm forces may have? if you see in the broader picture, things would not go well for russia even if the war ended this year on whoever terms.

alright. back of events happening on the battlefield.

Footage has been released from the recent Advance by the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the Town of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia Region showing the Evacuation by a BMP-1 of Ukrainian Survivors from a M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA IFV which was Destroyed by Russian Artillery Fire.

How NATO will react ? Using nukes ? More Sanctions ? No, NATO will highly likely to tell Ukraine to accept a seize fire and surrender territory to Russia.

The West will not confront Russian in an armed conflict directly, so Ukrainians are proxy for the west. deplete what ever military the russian armed forces may have ..obviously history did not teach us enough. Russia has more Nukes than the west, they have means to deliver them to their targets. Any attack on Russia by the west will be responded by Nuke strikes, tactical or inter continental..
i don't know how NATO will react. while there most likely be no nuclear retaliatory, there possibly be more sanctions and China and India highly likely will support based on analysis. russia will not dare to cut its two largest life lines.
while it is a possibility, NATO may enforce some kind of restrictions? like no fly zone or something similar? and the world won't complain considering if russia use nukes first.
also if anything happen to Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, US and a few NATO countries already said will invoke Article 5, if such scenario does happen, this will definitely involve NATO into the conflict.
