I think cannot. AM2+ Processor only can use in AM2+ mobo and AM2 proc also can use in AM2+ mobo.

guys,my ram xms2 2gb kit can oc how high if i put it at 2.2v? is it safe without other cooling solution?bcoz i thnk its enough wif the heat spreader for 2.2v(maximum)  |

I'm upgrading an old system (socket A Sempron). I plan to get an athlon64 x2 4000 plus a mobo. The choice either the Biopstar TA690G or 560 A2(AM2). Which is more OC'able as I also have some future proof in mind.
