Sugarbunis Sarawak own kepci with additional Borneo food in the mix. It's halal. Dayang Sarawak corner halal. Separuh staff pakai tudung. Halal kot rasa ya. Kolok me pun daging udang n ayem. No bavi. No sell langku or tuak. Or if you prefer can head Pasar Borneo Seri Kembangan every Saturday 7am to 11am. They have also.

My Sarawakian friends tell me to avoid all the Sarawak Laksa stalls run by Malay. They say tak sedap so I didnt go.

No , it is not the same.

Some unique features of the Sarawak Laksa from my observation:-

1) Lai fan
2) the gravy mixture of laksa + curry + black peppercorn. The gravy got taste of laksa with the shrimp paste.
3) peeled steam prawns
4) sliced fried eggs
5) Bean sprouts

So far, the best one ever tasted was at the 33 VIP Food Court @ Bandar Country Homes





The one as per your description is actually the Johor's Laksa. Johor's laksa = curry mee, don't know why Johorean called it laksa.

This is where youre wrong, curry doesnt mean you need curry powder/spices to make curry. Curry doesnt mean it need santan either.

Kan. The sup is originally darkbrownishcolor to black color before you add santan. It's eaten with sambal belacan n lime. In what world would the taste be the same with curry mee. Dafug?!

I think OP got scammed. There's no curry in Sarawak Laksa. Mostly it's shrimp paste and spices (zero curry).

actually whats the difference between laksa vs curry laksa vs curry? for me, laksa = asam laksa. if curry laksa, it is just curry.
