I would go for Daiwa FreamJ 4500

There's more set back to Shimano nowadays except for the Stella only. Even baitcast reels, more people prefer daiwa than shimano...

FreamJ4500
- light
- can do multiple type of fishing, popping, jigging and bottom
- size 4500 can fill in 300m of PE3.5 lines(40lb)
- good drag

Navi
- heavy
- can do multiple type too, depending on the gear ratio..either fast or slow ratio
- size 4000/5000 not able to fill in 300m of PE3.5, size 8000 most likely to fill in 300m, but then the weight becomes more heavy
- not-too-bad drags

Both the reel, the drag is upgradeable.. so dont worry about that..

My el-cheapo Daiwa CY 4000 can fit in 300m of 40lb Tuff Line XP, light weight, drag is at 6 or 8kg(i dont remember) but upgraded to 12kg liao...

Perhaps you can arrange a trip for us? We would be happy if you can do so...i'm sure there are alot of anglers who is interested in Terengganu fishing..

i just finished tying 40 prawn hooks hehehe.. abit kiasu.. with 10lbs leader.. make sure the jackpot prawn don't go loose mah hehehe.

yup they calculate per rod.. but i always bring extra.. just incase bottom tak makan.. change setup.. any idea on how to sharpen prawning hooks??? i tried using stanley file.. but it seems like its getting more blunt.. i would need a finer file..

i'm using anglar hooks.. not the sabit hooks.. but looks the same la..

then i want to find the niamakatsu.. but here don't have.. the best i could find is only anglar hooks.. damn suey man.

i know nia ma fu lat.. i mean niamakatsu damn sharp.. i get 1 bite 1 prawn previously.. about 35 prawns.. then 3 bite 1 prawn due to hooks not sharp..

Any nice fishing spot around KL ah that is reachable by normal car? Not so far la. Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor still okay.

Last week went to Sungai Pahang but jia lat lo cause current so strong and the water too muddy. Cant really fish there or maybe me and my mates fishing skills not so good. People there told us the time to fish there is around March to Sept so we are planing go back there next year to try again. =D
