We always diagnose based on clinical presentations. Numbers and reports are just there to guide, not exactly gold standard.

As I've mentioned, nothing really out of the ordinary. If you really want to sue, get a good lawyer and sue for something else other than misdiagnosis.

Hospital Ampang two doctors and the triage guy also can misdiagnose a serious condition like stoke, what more this KK. Some, I emphasize SOME of out medical staffs are badly trained.

If the day heat really messing up with the ear thermo reading, you might have noticed more babies being sent to the hospital. The ear thermo are actually pretty realiable.

Im not going to be bothered asking more for your kids history but the doctor might have gotten enough to warrant such suspicion.

I noticed youve mentioned your kid seem kalm even in that heat. They might think baby is lethargic.

If the staffs really are bad, they would have just send you home despite the temperature.

All things considered, seems like you are mainly dissatisfied with the wait and the heat. Ill say that's good enough to complain. Hopefully they will do something about it besides putting patients in tents.

But ill say it again, nothing seems out of the ordinary in your kids management.

Its PROVISIONAL.
You nak diagnose properly need blood works culture etc utk confirm which cannot be done in KK settings.
You can suspect a diagnosis and do cautionary treatment while awaiting lab results.
KK did everything RIGHT by assuming the worse.



1. go KK for jaundice bloodtest
-Sepsis is one of the etiology for jaundice.

2. Nurse measures baby temp on crazy hot HEATWAVE afternoon
HIGH TEMP is REDFLAG in below 1 month old. Admission is A MUST. ASSUME SEPSIS UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE

3. Doctor suspects sepsis without checking other symptoms except for the temp
-As i said ASUME NEONATAL SEPSIS until proven otherwise.
4. Crazy duo called ambulance and registered at Tengku Ampuan without consent or discussion
- Correct Move
5. Trying to detain my wife and baby when we are going to nearest hospital, Columbia Klang
-According to akta kanak2, yes this is correct, They can detain child regardless of parents consent.
6. Baby gets venepuncture and injected with antibiotics on 4 days old
-early antibiotic intervention is usually done after reviewing FBC which might shows some elevated White blood cells.. again correct measure
7. Blood culture shows no viral infection, unlikely sepsis
- Blood culture is for bacteria not viral.

8. Because KK misdiagnosed, we suffer emotional and financial damages
-KK DID NOT MISDIAGNOSE

Didn't reply TS properly since I view it more of his unhappiness towards the situation. Doesn't help that TS is probably a first time dad too especially with a pre kid

These doses are calculated by weight based on empirically proven evidences.
Unless there are mistakes with dose calculation, there wouldn't be side effects.
