IT Sector. The thing is I only have the contract with revised salary. If payslip with latest pay is required, then i would need to wait for 3 more months.

My dilemma is should I email them with the new annex form, and risk my application being re-evaluate again from start, end up waiting for another few months.
*
Just wait for a few days before deciding. Once the processing starts no point adding documents. They will request more if required.

Supposedly, it should not affect your application in anyway. You can update them once it's approved.

Just check ur cpf. If you're assigned a number. You can start writing to them.

*

What kind of number assigned ? How do i check this? CPF website i only see my FIN number though. Is this the one?
*
Not FIN, you have to click in to medisave or something, you should have a number assigned. I can't really rmb. It was done by my wife.

Alternatively, go to the PR website .. see if you could reapply or not.

PR website shows still pending and when try to reapply it mention there is ongoing PR application. Unable to proceed further.

If you mean PR application, then it's September 2023.

4 lines appear earlier this week on Monday.
*
Oh .. just keep us updated. Especially your case, can serve as a precedent for future applicants.

Updates:

PR application turned 4 lines on 1st July 2024.
Received email notification on 7th July that there had been changes to PR application status.
Logged into ICA and PR application changed to Approved!

Noticed that the PR IPA is dated 4th July, which means PR status is actually approved 4 days after 4 lines appeared.

The email from ICA actually gave me a heart attack as it only mentioned changes in status, without stating success or fail. The reason for that is my EP was cancelled on 7th, as i will be issued a new EP on 8th. For a moment I thought my PR application was rejected immediately because my EP was cancelled. That few minutes to login into ICA website I was feeling so anxious.
*
Heh .. now u don't need the EP anymore. Grats anyway!

It seems most of us that applied got it this time.

Anyway, for your case, it's kinda different because you're moving to another company. I wonder how the company gonna deal with cpf side.

Now i have some confusion too. I applied PR under company A, now I have just changed to company B, but to complete the formalities I require my employer letter stating I am employed with them, but i didnt update ICA on the change of employer.

It seems like ICA is pretty busy, my appointment with them is last day of the month. And the employer letter cant be more than 2 weeks from my appointment date. I probably should write email to them about this and see what is their reply on my case.
*
Yeah can update us too. Rather curious what's the procedure would be like. Be prepared to have a cut on your salary. Haha .. but getting extra money on cpf is quite nice to see ..

Updates :

Managed to secure a slot last Friday for PR formalities.

Things to note :

1. Your passport size photo cannot be the same as the one you used for your PR application. ICA office asked me to get a new photo taken, there are few shops behind ICA building at residential HDB block.

2. They accept old EP card with previous employer. As my case was a bit special, PR approved while I was still employed by previous employer, and I was converted to permanent staff at employer B during the week of my PR formalities appointment. The EP card with new employer has not reached me yet, but ICA officer did not insist to wait for the new card before processing my PR formalities.

3. Another special case for me is that I was not required to undergo medical checkup with MOM for my pre-employment previously. So MOM did not have a record of my medical, i was asked to get a medical checkup at assigned clinic, near Aljunied MRT.

Finally got everything sorted out by 1 PM. Now waiting for IC collection.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Frankly speaking, I'm hoping I don't have to vote if my citizenship application comes through before I leave for Australia. I find it meaningless, since I can't relate to any of the parties here (or back in Malaysia, for that matter).
*
Eventually u have to cast your vote. Not now, likely 5 years down the road.

If I don’t vote, apparently, I get my name struck off the voters’ roll but that’s all.
*
Is it? I thought u would be warned or something. Voting seems mandatory in sg, unlike in malaysia.

I wonder how the economy in Johor Bahru will boom once the RTS is completed.

How many people live in Singapore?

They can support a bit JB economy.

But not too many......

Mostly around 1 millions citizens / residents of SG ++

Everyone knows the answer.

user posted image

Singapore has a total population of 5.69 million.  [2024]

The city-state had 3.52 million Singaporean citizens and 0.52 million permanent residents, bringing the resident population to 4.04 million.
5.69 million - 4.04 million = 1.65 million

1.65 million is non-Resident. [ foreign employment in services ]

(mostly consisting of construction workers,

marine workers, 268,500 housemaids,

work permit holders, factory workers, and general workers,
with fewer S Pass and Employment Pass holders who are awaiting PR approval).

Anyone have invest in Danga Bay or gelang patah property?

I have been saying this repeatedly .. I really doubt real/pure Singaporeans would actually buy or spend in JB. I hardly hear people on my side travelling to JB very frequent. Likely once or twice a year.

On the other hand, the ones that actually spend in JB are likely ex-malaysian or have a malaysian spouse or PR. Basically, these are the people who are killing JB. RTS benefits those living in JB more, not the Singaporeans.

So basically, prices will be inflated.

We can count on one hand the number of times we have been in JB…,

Haha .. I am guilty .. I just travelled out to JB yesterday. But, given the choice, I wouldn't do it.

I was totally horrified by the experience. I departed around 11 from my house, expecting the bus queue to be empty. Surprisingly it took me 1 hour just to board the bus, with snaking queues. I thought everyone would have left by 10. Maybe those who need to work OT or something. I salute them, for waking up early, going back late, repeat it daily.

When I arrived at JB it was about 1 already. Grab was dam expensive. Literally triple of the price that I always pay. So you earn triple, but you may have to pay triple of the price at times. In the end u pay more and sacrifice more time too.

Friday nights are often like that...

Sometimes on Saturday mornings 8am, people traveling from Singapore to Johor Bahru also face heavy traffic.
The bus lanes, motorcycle lanes, and car lanes are all crowded.

If you're traveling from Johor Bahru to Singapore, it's best to avoid Sundays between 10 AM and 8 PM.
I usually reach Woodlands Train Checkpoint at 7 AM on Saturday.
Actually, did you know you can take Bus 856 to Woodlands Train Checkpoint and walk inside the building to the customs passport machine there?

You don't need to take Bus 160, 170, or 950 to woodlands customs.

There are often long queues.
*
I was af the east so I boarded CW from queensway. I should have just taken the train all the way to woodland. The journey should be the same as my time standing there waiting to board the bus.

That's why I myself prefer not to go out if given the chance, but I have no choice because I need to get some documentations done. I have experienced the morning crowd on Saturday before especially alot of PRC going out. Hence, I decided to depart late at night but I end up still the malaysian working crowd. Haha
