actually it's a savings account, so it's not surprising it's protected under PIDM. It would be otherwise.

There's no need for banks to make a new app just to offer "digital bank" service,

Otherwise why do you think why TNG, Boost and GrabPay doesn’t have shop why ppl still put in money and use 🤦‍♀️

It is not like you put all your money into it just a portion of your savings as you think have shop means stability and won’t collapse 🤦‍♀️ CS have shown you otherwise if if they got shop 🤦‍♀️

Anyone can be a digital bank as long as the money is transacted through licensed bank itself 🤦‍♀️ in this case it is through Al Rajhi

Even TnG can be a digital bank as long they are partnering one with bank license holder currently

Yes as the actual physical money is transacted through Al Rajhi network while the execution is done through Rize while piggybacking and collecting just the data from Al Rajhi hence Rize Platform which doesn’t have or hold the actual money

Better check with your bank issuance card as some banks known not to honour it and force you take option 2 instead 🤦‍♀️

Reply from Rize CS regarding debit card compulsory to enjoy 5% rate

I spoke to their Customer Support earlier and she told me it isn't necessary to have debit card for special profit rates so this subject is rather confusing. Even their T&C on website has no mention of debit card:

Yes indeed it is very confusing as there are 2 different amended TnCs as below:

https://www.rize.com.my/application/themes/...OTICE_Final.pdf

https://www.rize.com.my/application/themes/..._Rize_Final.pdf

So which is the real final one??? confused.gif

No confusion as there is no final one 🤦‍♀️

The 1st is the master while the amended 2nd is only to cover the interest calculation only

I will try again in a few days time.
Unless it's my card too old or something, I think the exact position that I need to place in order for my card to be scanned is a little bit too much. Not worth this few dollars(I can still put in versa in the mean time for 4%)

Sometimes I dunno what is their purpose. Why make until so complicated. When I scanned using other application also not so difficult. Even though my card is a little bit old.

I tried to transfer 50k to another bank earlier but the Rize app said transaction was blocked and to contact CS. I was annoyed and thinking today was a holiday too but in about 2 mins their CS called me to verify regarding this transaction. Not sure if this is a good thing as this security is to avoid scams.
