Tried calling Apple for the past 3 days and none of them willing to let me claim, i only found out Apple customer service doesn't work on weekends, no wonder support so lousy.
I was told by many that even though i'm already out of warranty, i should keep trying until they agree and maybe file tribunal against them.
Thought changing to iPhone can last longer cause friends around me have been using theirs for like 4 to 5 years, some even 6 also no problem.

Known issue for 13 Pro and Pro Max

Yea sadly, kinda bumped that the display died so quickly as this is my first iPhone and i never had any issues with my past Samsung phones since S2.

Unfortunate for you. I've been using since 2G and had no issue thus far and currenly using 13PM for about 13 months now. Wife 13PM around 14 months and finger crossed

I'm definitely gonna keep calling Apple until they approve me for a claim, been doing that for the past 2 to 3 days but to no avail.
Might just pull the trigger on pre-ordering the new S23 series and hopefully being able to claim a new display for 13 pro then sell it.

out of warranty. tough chance to have it replaced FOC imo.

Quite many users managed to get FOC replacement at Malaysia iPhone user page on fb, all of them are telling me to keep trying and file a complain to tribunal.

Tonight or tomorrow, i need a phone for work, my backup just ain't cutting it, so lag.

Tried, no luck. I already had my phone diagnosed, confirm display dead.

if thats the case then good luck. if too many got this issue, definitely something wrong with iP13PM internally, could happen again in the future. GG for 2nd value.

Already have a few cases that after a few months, the problem came back.
Local Apple still doesn't acknowledge this issue unlike Apple Thailand, can just walk in and they will replace it for free.

Just finished ordering S23+, RM500 discount + additional RM197 discount.

Whats the root cause for this ?

Dunno, all i got from diagnostic report was blank screen, nothing more. Then they just sent me a quotation of RM1500 if i wanna replace it.

What phone did you replace with it?

Called local Apple CS, they made an appointment for me to send it to Machines or Switch service center, send the phone in and receive report case number, call local Apple CS again and complain then they transferred my case to Apple Australia, while it was being handled by a senior technician in Australia, he kept me updated everyday until the repair and claim was done. So, sent in on a Monday and done by Wednesday.

I bought S23+.

Did they reject your claim at first? Or just let you claim straightaway?

I had to call a few times and make a fuss because Apple doesn't acknowledge this issue but in the end, it worked out.
Worse case, file for e-tribunal, they will take action.

In the end what worked out? What's the resolution?
Maybe you could type out the entire process + what you told the Apple? A reference for the future.

Managed to claim for the display.
Since i was on the phone with Apple for more than 2 hours, i will definitely not type the whole process out.
Long story short, call CS then they will make an appointment for u on the service center of ur choice, send the phone in and get the report case number, call CS again and complain about the cost and it is ridiculous that the display died right after warranty is over, most likely they will transfer ur case to a senior technician from dunno which country or local one, from there just email whatever report that service center has given u to that technician then he/she will follow up and liaise with service center from there.

my out of warranty 13PM also kena white screen. Call apple support, they review my case and manage to claim free screen replacement. 1 week siap. send to Switch Terengganu. Need to order screen from Apple singapore.

They take 1 week for investigate?

Seems like this is quite a known issue already. So its pretty fair on Apple's side that they are willing to replace the screen even after warranty is over. Do bear in mind that the OLED is manufactured by another company and not by Apple themselves.

Okay, so similar story like everyone here white screen after 13 months usage of IP 13 pro max. Managed to dispute via phone calls and thankfully the senior advisor from Australia helped me alot and provide me exemption for screen repair. A visit to Apple Store in SG and managed to fixed issue within 1 hour. The technician did advise me to trade in and upgrade to IP 14 with some monetary top ups. My question now to all impacted users, what did you do with the repaired IP 13PM, continue using it or sell?

SG always efficient, mine sent in Machines KLCC almost a week still no news, anyway, Apple CS did return call on Wednesday said Apple will bear all the cost.

What if it happens again after replacement? Will Apple offer another replacement? Really bad luck if it happens twice lol.

same, mine also white screen after like 18 months, so ended up fix it with RM450 and sold it off dirt cheap. According to the technician he can only able to provide 1 day warranty after the repair, Hence, better get rid of it before 2nd wave ......

My wife iphone 13 pro max also kena white screen issue after 26 months of purchase. Chat Apple support and got appointment at apple authorised service center. Apple cover all cost changing new screen (RM1800) and top up RM430 to change battery.

Lucky you, i didnt manage to send to apple cuz all my important info is in the device and is my daily phone, so ended up send to 3rd party to get it fix within an hour (of course have to pay), haha.... they actually so called bypass it then the screen back to normal. But if can get the whole screen replace at apple's cost, then should keep the ip13pm, is a nice phone and doing pretty well all the time

nope...warranty already finish but apple cover the screen cost...just pay RM430 for new battery

My fren also got this after almost 1.5 year using iphone 13 pro, TWICE. The first time, got all covered by Apple. But after using the phone for 3-4 month, same prob occurred. Send it to mac city, they still cover the fix cost. But until when?

If warranty still available just send it in , apparently is a factory fault , we third party we do jumper solution

Just go to some repair shops in Kl if you want reliable just go beyond in Cheras
