Mileage doesn't matter... More important is engine oil consumption.

Then u best to use 10w40 or 5w40

Did your engine consume EO ? If not can continue to use weighted 30 oil.
*
engine consuming EO, I was using bardahl 5w40, that's why want to change to 5w30

White smoke is blown head gasket already....

No. White smoke is worn pistons. NA almost never can get damaged head gaskets unless the engine was overheated badly from faulty cooking systems. Unlike turbo engines where the gaskets are constantly exposed to very high pressures.

Then u shouldn't use a lighter weighted EO. I guess u need to do an overhaul. Have your mechanic check to confirm. Probably top overhaul.

That one is light bluish or greyish smoke. Most pple mistaken it for white.

Most engines will hardly have smoke even when it's worn. It's just an increase in EO.

Engine rebuild la.
Engine going to keep burning oil doesn’t matter what grade.
The moment it stops burning oil is either you rebuilt it or it’s totally dieded.

40 if a lot of high RPM driving. 30 for regular use.

20 is thin like piss. And MY weather makes it worse. RIP engine longevity.
