10W.. cukup-la! Not high performance engine. Although some idiots fill up with 0W for their berukdua engines.

bruh
we live in malaysia
we don't look at the number before W...that's "W"inter rating

we look at the back number for it's viscosity only....u can fill 0W-30 also can if this oil exist

QUOTE(MookKai @ Jan 15 2023, 02:07 PM)
0W20 is too light if your oil system is engine speed dependent. Light oil runs down to the sump quicker, so not "sticking" to the moving parts longer. When you rev high, more oil volume can circulate to counter this. But when you are just cruising along a low rpm, your parts tend to run dry.

If you are using dry sump, then it eliminates that problem. Because your oil flow are set at a minimum volume.

my idea, TS should repair the source of leak first, usually the Valve cover gasket, norm after high mileage. if the manual said 0w20 is one of recommendation, I will suggest it. Best FC, engine can get light feeling power etc.

There is one experiment i wanted to test, by using human fat. Human fat extracted from liposuction, use that as engine oil...

Why everyone here against the 0w20? It's still fully synthetic engine, protect the engine again heat, lubricate etc

Coz they all drive like they’re racing Le Mans every day. 75% full throttle of the time.

Shell helix hx7 semi syn high mileage engine oil.

Try 5w30 1st. If engine oil no loss within 5,000km then ok. If got loss then try use 5w40.

Usually shell helix hx7 can last 7,000km-8,000km.
At 5,000km the oil still look clear and slightly new, not black yet.

Lol
Are you lining up to buy American motors then?
Japanese while not perfect are more reliable.
And either ts can persist by feeding his engine more oil or get it rebuilt.

engine consuming EO, I was using bardahl 5w40, that's why want to change to 5w30
*
if u used 5w40 still consuming EO

u need to go even higher ..or ..overhaul

lower down to 5w30 will made your consumption even faster/higher
