For cloud backup. Is free so no harm to register. Further more, there are many Xiaomi products required Mi account if you using it or need it in the near future.

No, you can skip it. I personally skip it, since my 7 years of Xiaomi phones, it didn't interfere with phone use if you didn't sign up

I'm trying to setup my new Poco F5. After connected the USB cable on both Redmi note 11 pro 5G and Poco F5, Poco F5 showing "Device are connected, you may need to allow permission on your old device." there are no detail on what permission or prompt msg on the old phone. Anyone know?

It sounds like you are have not reach or already past Google account setup on the device. You are supposed to plug the USB C to USB C cable during first time Google account setup on new device. During the setup, instructions tell you to plug the cable, then plug the cable.

During setup, if you choose that you want to copy data, a setup tutorial(photos shown above) will pop up. (UI interface may be different, but tutorial content is the same). Then when the instructions mention to plug USB C to USB C cable, then plug in the cable accordingly and follow the next instructions on screen.

A picture tells a thousand words. No wonder I never see this screen lol. Cos I always skip on Copy Apps and Data on new phones. I complete setup everything first then baru I start to copy the data over.

Gave up USB. Now using wireless to transfer about 4 hours

I found a limitation with miui,,,that it cannot add a second whatsapp incoming message widget for sim #2 if i use dual whatsapp in dual app mode,,,this function is very useful and essential for anyone using dual simcard as a daily work phone,,,i know samsung one ui and realme ui do support it

Stopped by an honor outlet today to try out magic5 pro (m5p)
quite funny that the rn12t has bigger back camera ring than m5p even though m5p has bigger lens (mind you its 1/1.12" type)

xiaomi design team probably want to create an illusion that f5/rn12t has beefier camera setup but actually it isnt,,,,a good design is a form follows function approach,,,,plus bigger camera glass more prone to scratches,,

But then, design preference is subjective
E.g civic type r fk8,, most people find its faux grille bumper as ugly and unnecesary for a performance car, but there are some that think its okay and nice to look at hehe

Yeah whatsapp data is you just backup to Google Drive from old phone first, and then baru login to new phone, because whatsapp messages and data is encrypted.

Can use WhatsApps Business for 2nd sim

installed wa business as you taught, and now can pull incoming message widget for 2nd sim

Finally had it done

For future reference for those who saw this post,i needed to change my sim back to my old phone (Oneplus 8t) to be able to receive mi unlock tool sms. aslo needed to change older version too to type in the phone number,6.5 doesn't work

Anyone not using the free case for f5 and wanna let go?

Wanna confirm, does F5 have NFC for Malaysia region? If so, will Google pay/wallet works with F5?

Another thing, in always on display, why no options to turn off 10 secs and make it always on like someone shows here?
