QUOTE(Invulnerability @ May 11 2023, 01:55 PM) Penisular takes 2-4 days for delivery by J&T, East Malaysia maybe 5-9 days. They also ship on weekends and public holidays as well. Depends on when your unit was shipped out, calculate accordingly. |

QUOTE(ASoulNamedLeo @ May 11 2023, 01:05 PM) Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G 256GB with IMX766 at RM1299 kills Samsung Galaxy A34 and A54, but Poco X5 Pro with Snapdragon 778G is better buy, not to mention top up get Poco F5 is best buy🤣 ya no doubt F5 is a best buy for the price range. but same goes for RN12 for the price and spec offer is a good buy as well, RM600-700. |

What do you think? |

QUOTE(Axile @ May 11 2023, 05:15 PM) But I think RN 12 Pro with Sony sensor has better camera vs Poco F5, not marginally better I guess. What do you think? My opinion is that if ISP+Software can't keep up, then no matter how good your camera hardware, photo and video quality still not up to par with competition.Biggest example is Pixel 6A, still use 5-year-old IMX363 same as Pixel 3, Pixel 3A and Redmi 8A, which is worse "hardware" than Poco F3 IMX582. But it wins in many photo comparison tests, because of Tensor and Google Pixel software. And then Sony phones, great camera hardware, sometimes even great ISP as well, but the software doesn't even use ISP. So photos without edits taken are less pretty. Xiaomi budget phones are either "ISP good+sensor bad" or "ISP bad+sensor good", for these cases, the general user is better with "ISP good+sensor bad", since good ISP also means generally great CPU+GPU performance as well, since you need powerful processor to power ISP. So yeah overall, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G takes better photos overall with OIS IMX766, but unfortunately it can't take flagship level photos despite the IMX766 capability because Dimensity 1080 holding it back. Poco F5 has Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and OIS OV64B, if Xiaomi can somehow use software camera magic to make OV64B work, then it could surprass a IMX766+Dimensity 1080. However, creating and developing camera software takes money and time, so yeah at the time being, Note 12P 5G has better camera, but overall Poco F5 is better buy for me Axile and Skeuomorphic liked this post

Seems like Poco F5 Pro still have the focus hunting issue from Poco F4 on 4k 30fps, not sure if it was fixed yet on latest MIUI. Strange that only 4k 30 fps is affected and not 4k 60.
At 4:26 https://youtu.be/_RMuJOM8dXo?t=268 The focus hunting issue on F4: I also noticed this in the Redmi N12PP videos from review, maybe disabling EIS can fix the issue? |

QUOTE(Axile @ May 11 2023, 09:56 PM) Nice info. In that case, will you be installing GCam on F5 or wait for Xiaomi software enhancement on the camera? I will use 2 phones in my pocket, Poco F5 as daily driver and Pixel 4A 5G as backup camera, heheCurrently using a Poco F3+Pixel 4A 5G combo and it is fun For anyone who wants great flagship quality ultra wide angle, cheapest options you can buy are Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5(around RM600 nowadays), and imo in my personal use, I feel like 4a 5G can technically be my daily driver but unfortunately it is only 128GB. Surprisingly I don't mind the 60Hz on Pixel 4A 5G, but I do notice games run a bit slower lah. Also to just answer your question more directly, nah I won't install Gcam, nor wait for enhancements from Xiaomi side , at the end of the day, I buy Poco F5 for Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and lightweight design 😛 Edit: also Poco F5 for battery life, because damn Pixel battery (specifically Pixel 6, Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 is still acceptable) is bad compared to the competition. Not to mention from Pixel 6 onwards, the in display fingerprint scanner on Pixel is very inconsistent compared the rear scanner. This post has been edited by ASoulNamedLeo: May 11 2023, 11:09 PM |

QUOTE(virgoguy @ May 12 2023, 07:15 AM) Hardly to justify extra bucks with the extra feature such as:1) SD8G1 2) wireless charging 30w 3) 1440p - might drain more battery life which end up using 1080p ? 4) No 3.5mm (user preference) This post has been edited by TongCN: May 12 2023, 08:59 AM virgoguy liked this post
