Welp, I'm unlucky this round, no Blue in stock for 12am😔

I’m lucky to get the white ones at 12.01am. All sold out before 12.07am. Crazy sales

I saw white in stock, but not interested in glossy back. Hope you share your experience with the phone soon~
*
I always use case to protect my phone so I can sell higher value when the time comes. So having glossy back is not a deal breaker for me. Better than black where fingerprints are much more apparent.

Will definitely share my experience once I get hold of it but all reviews are out in YouTube already today. I will be uploading my 2cents as well but should be next month or longer as Shopee states it will be shipped by 8 June.

Pulled the trigger and bought the white Poco F5 to replace my F2 Pro. I liked my F2 Pro but it's way to heavy.
*
Nice! I also bought it the white at 12.00am when they restock. Saw notification from Shopee it's in the shipping progress already and ETA is another 2 days. rclxm9.gif

Wow ETA in 2 days. I thought it will take 20 days to ship it out.
*

Yup, previously the status is pre-order and will ship by 8 June (almost a month). Then minutes ago the shipping info just got updated. Guess they have some ready stocks now so maybe you will get notified soon too. icon_rolleyes.gif

Poco F3 is 196g while F5 is 181g. Looks like a win. Haha.

Poco F2 Pro 219g.

I used to have the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus with 208 gram and I feel it's heavy after using it for 5 minutes since i already get used to iphone 12 weight (164 gram).

Standard F5 no IP53, F5 Pro has IP53
*
Is this confirmed? Because some Malaysia medias like SoyaCincau and other sites like GSMArena stated the normal F5 has IP 53 rating too.
Perhaps, Poco left out this info in their official website.

I like how you "accidentally" purchased it. rclxms.gif Nevertheless, hope we will like and enjoy it when it reached.

Anyone know if those common phone accessories shop I.e. Ninjaz already start selling F5 tempered glass/screen protector and casing? If not, I’ll need to start searching in Shopee/Lazada.

Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G 256GB with IMX766 at RM1299 kills Samsung Galaxy A34 and A54, but Poco X5 Pro with Snapdragon 778G is better buy, not to mention top up get Poco F5 is best buy🤣

But I think RN 12 Pro with Sony sensor has better camera vs Poco F5, not marginally better I guess. What do you think?

My opinion is that if ISP+Software can't keep up, then no matter how good your camera hardware, photo and video quality still not up to par with competition.

Biggest example is Pixel 6A, still use 5-year-old IMX363 same as Pixel 3, Pixel 3A and Redmi 8A, which is worse "hardware" than Poco F3 IMX582.

But it wins in many photo comparison tests, because of Tensor and Google Pixel software.

And then Sony phones, great camera hardware, sometimes even great ISP as well, but the software doesn't even use ISP. So photos without edits taken are less pretty.

Xiaomi budget phones are either "ISP good+sensor bad" or "ISP bad+sensor good", for these cases, the general user is better with "ISP good+sensor bad", since good ISP also means generally great CPU+GPU performance as well, since you need powerful processor to power ISP.

So yeah overall, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G takes better photos overall with OIS IMX766, but unfortunately it can't take flagship level photos despite the IMX766 capability because Dimensity 1080 holding it back. Poco F5 has Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and OIS OV64B, if Xiaomi can somehow use software camera magic to make OV64B work, then it could surprass a IMX766+Dimensity 1080. However, creating and developing camera software takes money and time, so yeah at the time being, Note 12P 5G has better camera, but overall Poco F5 is better buy for me

Nice info. In that case, will you be installing GCam on F5 or wait for Xiaomi software enhancement on the camera?
