Depends on how light the F5 feels in hand My Poco F3 sags my short pants at home, always leaving me in undies at home. Hopefully F5 lightweight enough to solve the problem.

Same here. My order for Poco F5 White 12/256GB has been picked up by J&T.

So the main difference between non-pro and pro basically 2 things:

1) Processor 8 vs 7
2) Display Reso 1440 vs 1080

Do we know if F5 has IP53 Splash Protection? In the offical spec page it doesn't mention it but I watched couple of reviews on  Youtube stating that it does have IP53.

Yeah, here is the thing, this may be a Poco F3 sale situation, where demand is so high that even until October, supply not enough to catch up. Not to mention Poco F5 priced very aggressively in all global markets. Poco F5 even starting price is lower than Poco F3.

Poco F4 launch sales last year were really bad, so even May and June already more promo to entice

The S10+ has great cameras that Poco F5 definitely cannot compare.

Poco F5 is a the best budget buy at under RM1500 if you really do not care for cameras, its performance is better than S22 Ultra, OnePlus 10 Pro and  earlier.

If you want the better cameras, Hold out next year, buy this year Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 camera flagships for cheaper.

Unfortunately Pixel 6A quality unmatched because Tensor ISP+Pixel Software makes the Pixel Camera good, because 6A still using same old IMX363 hardware on Pixel 3. Making 6A cheaper to make.

Other manufacturers either have good ISP for their SoC(Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2/Snapdragon 8 series), but poor hardware sensor + poor software.
Or it's great sensor (200MP OIS, 108MP HM6 flagship sensor), but poor ISP (Dimensity 1080, Snapdragon 695) and poor camera software.

Pixel 6A is unfortunately not available in Malaysia, and for under RM2500, it's hard to get "good camera sensor+great processor ISP+great camera software", all 3 in a smartphone that is available in Malaysia.

The nearest budget mid-range smartphone that is available in Malaysia that has those 3 criteria is surprisingly the Nothing Phone (1), which 778G has good ISP and is actually more power efficient than Tensor G1. Alhough Nothing camera software is better than other competitors, Google Pixel camera software is still king to many, whether budget or flagship.
