QUOTE(Axile @ May 10 2023, 01:08 PM) Nice! I also bought it the white at 12.00am when they restock. Saw notification from Shopee it's in the shipping progress already and ETA is another 2 days. Wow ETA in 2 days. I thought it will take 20 days to ship it out.

Then minutes ago the shipping info just got updated. Guess they have some ready stocks now so maybe you will get notified soon too.

QUOTE(ASoulNamedLeo @ May 10 2023, 01:02 PM) Depends on how light the F5 feels in hand My Poco F3 sags my short pants at home, always leaving me in undies at home. Hopefully F5 lightweight enough to solve the problem. As for F3, maybe I give to my sister to replace her matte white Redmi Note 10. Poco F3 is 196g while F5 is 181g. Looks like a win. Haha. Poco F2 Pro 219g.

Yeah main selling point of Poco F5 to me this year is Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and 5000mAh in 181g body. Hopefully more phones with 5000mAh battery will launch with weight under 185g 😉 This post has been edited by ASoulNamedLeo: May 10 2023, 01:29 PM

Do we know if F5 has IP53 Splash Protection? In the offical spec page it doesn't mention it but I watched couple of reviews on Youtube stating that it does have IP53.

So the main difference between non-pro and pro basically 2 things:
1) Processor 8 vs 7 2) Display Reso 1440 vs 1080
Edit: 3) Wireless charging not in non-pro
Think of replacing my parents' Samsung S10+ , is it worth ? Though some spec of S10+ still powerful eventhough it's 2019

Though some spec of S10+ still powerful eventhough it's 2019 The S10+ has great cameras that Poco F5 definitely cannot compare. Poco F5 is a the best budget buy at under RM1500 if you really do not care for cameras, its performance is better than S22 Ultra, OnePlus 10 Pro and earlier. If you want the better cameras, Hold out next year, buy this year Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 camera flagships for cheaper. This post has been edited by ASoulNamedLeo: May 10 2023, 02:30 PM

QUOTE(ASoulNamedLeo @ May 10 2023, 12:56 PM) Yeah, here is the thing, this may be a Poco F3 sale situation, where demand is so high that even until October, supply not enough to catch up. Not to mention Poco F5 priced very aggressively in all global markets. Poco F5 even starting price is lower than Poco F3. Poco F4 launch sales last year were really bad, so even May and June already more promo to entice but with Xiaomi history.... they suka suka will throw price and do sales lol this will only work if you dont need a new phone urgently since its a gamble

Clear photos at day, night or low-light shots are barely passable but not good. Transfer between Androids would be best and seamless if you have USB-C to USB-C cable. But if using WiFi, should be able to work great as well, albeit slower and more battery consuming All Androids transfer between each other easily (except Huawei) so you don't need to worry This post has been edited by ASoulNamedLeo: May 10 2023, 02:58 PM

QUOTE(ASoulNamedLeo @ May 9 2023, 10:04 PM) Unfortunately Pixel 6A quality unmatched because Tensor ISP+Pixel Software makes the Pixel Camera good, because 6A still using same old IMX363 hardware on Pixel 3. Making 6A cheaper to make. Other manufacturers either have good ISP for their SoC(Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2/Snapdragon 8 series), but poor hardware sensor + poor software. Or it's great sensor (200MP OIS, 108MP HM6 flagship sensor), but poor ISP (Dimensity 1080, Snapdragon 695) and poor camera software. Pixel 6A is unfortunately not available in Malaysia, and for under RM2500, it's hard to get "good camera sensor+great processor ISP+great camera software", all 3 in a smartphone that is available in Malaysia. The nearest budget mid-range smartphone that is available in Malaysia that has those 3 criteria is surprisingly the Nothing Phone (1), which 778G has good ISP and is actually more power efficient than Tensor G1. Alhough Nothing camera software is better than other competitors, Google Pixel camera software is still king to many, whether budget or flagship. 778G/778G+ is good but 2 years old already, the price still close to 2k, plus Nothing phone looks really gimmicky and shaped like iphone, the camera also IMX766 like A54.. better to look at other phone with dimensity or old flagship with SD 865/better sensors, that still fit in mid range <RM1800. QUOTE(ASoulNamedLeo @ May 10 2023, 02:29 PM) Standard F5 no IP53, F5 Pro has IP53 Is this confirmed? Because some Malaysia medias like SoyaCincau and other sites like GSMArena stated the normal F5 has IP 53 rating too. Perhaps, Poco left out this info in their official website.
