Provided a definition of sole distributor for your referral. You may google it yourself..... It's actually pretty straight forward.

Definitions of sole distributor a person or business that has the only right to make a particular product or service available to its customers, so that no other people or businesses can make the same product or service available.

When someone violated their right, it's up to decision of sole distributor on what they wanna do. Either ignore or go for warning letter or further lawsuit case. They can do it but not necessarily they will do it.....
*
I think you too uptight with the definition. It's not as simple in real life. If it's as you said, they would have gone after every AP sellers. The product is real and if they want to blanket ban the importation, they would need to go through government agencies. The sole distributors would have been given rights to use the branding for marketing etc, partnering with others but that does not mean AP sets that go through unofficial channel as illegal. Even Apple is not stupid enough to go down this route.

Theoretically AP set is illegal but practical it work differently. The right given to sole distributor is to sell and provide service or product to certain region and not just marketing and branding, if not then why get the sole distributorship.......... If it's legal to import from CN without getting distributorship then no people will go for sole distributorship. They have to pay 1 for that distributorship either promise certain volume or term........

Again it's up to the sole distributor, although AP set is illegal but if they didn't sue and report to authority then most government agency won't make noise. Again the example you give is a bit nonsense. Apple not go down this route simply because their distributor is available worldwide and most people will just get it authorized reseller for ease of servicing etc etc.

If someone open a business and import a lot of apple product from oversea bypass the reseller or distributorship then most reseller will make noise to apple but this is not happen because demand is not there.... As u rarely seem unauthorized apple reseller selling the device.

Again I am mentioning on Android device. AP set is theoretically illegal just no people bother so no issue. The sole distributor can sue if they want but mostly just ignore. That's why you will notice a lot of seller that sell AP openly through online listing is when the device haven't officially launch in the countries or when certain device is not officially available in the countries.

The reason is if they sell those AP set after it's officially launch, it's illegal and might causes them to have a trouble legally......... It's actually quite simple.... The only way it's legal is if they buy from the authorized sole distributor and become reseller and not bypass them by direct buying from CN.....

It's actually more complicated than you think. That's all I got to say. That's why even Apple don't bother doing it except towards those that were importing parts from China that were cannibalised from broken phones since these parts bear their logo and not actually a completely assembled product.

Since no one is buying AP set of apple and hence no seller for apple AP set................. It basically didn't exist cos no demand....All the while I am referring to android device but u are giving an apple as example..... Anyway that's all I got to say as well

You can believe what you want to believe, that's all I want to say. There's no such things as I don't want these things to be imported just because you signed an exclusive agreement in this open market. You need to go through government agencies to force a blanket ban.

U still don't get it. AP set is illegal not because the device is fake. Is illegal for seller to sell AP set........ And no government will go for blanket ban as it is not government right that got violated.

It is the right of the sole authorized distributor that got violated when someone that wasn't assigned by sole distributor as reseller selling a certain device that is park under sole authorized distributor right. N it's up to the sole authorized distributor on what action they want to take.

Since when I mention on blanket ban. I think u get it all wrong. All the while I am saying is up to authorized sole distributor on what action they want to take and they can choose not to do anything.....

Exclusive agreement in certain region is protected by law and it's up to the 1 who given the right on what to do...... Again you are free to believe what you want to believe. I don't understand why it's so difficult to understand.

It's very straight forward, authorized sole distributor didn't take action to AP set seller doesn't mean what they do is legal. It's just people don't bother because the volume is very small only, it's just not worth to trouble to go through lawsuit case for the sole distributor. Unless when a certain AP set seller took a significant % of sales from sole authorized distributor 😑

True. Same here. I don't see what is the point to argue when it's obviously what I am saying is right 😅

Please get your understanding right before replying to someone. It's wasting my time to explain to u on something so straight forward....

Haha Fastech Lim to the rescue then

and btw mediakek 9200, can it perform just as well here? heard compatibility with 32bit will be worsen with this design but gugle play already handle this (if you download from play store 99% can download 64 bit version apps
*
yeah you're right abou that 32bit support as Mediatek is dropping support for 32bit on the D9200's performance cores.
from an average user's perspective tho, no issues whatsoever biggrin.gif

Lim's Review ≠ FastechLim... Just to weigh in, I had the experience of chatting with Mr Lim in his shop about what I wanted. He gave his opinion, and let me decide on which model I wanted. Friendly and very informative about the phone business and no pressure/hardsell. He just asked me to wait for the OnePlus 11 if I want the global OS (launching early Feb 2023), or certainly those that matches my budget...

BTW, he mentioned that the 1 year warranty given covers the service/parts in China, but you have to pay only RM100 for the to/back shipping cost. Given that we can't get certain exotic models in Malaysia officially (i.e. X90 Pro Plus, Red Magic 8 Pro+, etc) and his price is much lower than other sellers, it's definitely not a bad deal for most of his offerings. Just IMHO... take it how you want. He's just providing a service for the vacuum in our local market for good phones.

Just self collected my X90Pro+ yesterday at his shop.

Didn't get to meet Fastech Lim personally due to he was busy handling new arrival of phones.

So far my experience with his is good. He explained quite details about my concern, but before that please read his FAQ cause don't expect him to reply instantly as mostly he handle all the work personally to minimize error.

Being following his FB and reviews for some time, since Iqoo 10 Pro.

Initially wanted to get Iqoo instead of Vivo cause Iqoo seem to have more advance features such as 200W charging speed.

But after reading review about X90Pro+ and found out that the price for Iqoo 11 Pro and X90Pro+ is only a couple of hundreds difference. So after deeply consideration, I chose Vivo instead cause I prefer better photography. No choice but to give and take for the 200W charging speed.
