Vivo X90 pro plus sets the bar for 2023 flagship

Specifications:-

https://m.gsmarena.com/vivo_x90_pro%2b-ampp-11979.php

Comparison with iPhone 14 pro max and Samsung S22 Ultra

Price: RM4648 12/256 CN set online seller.

Most worrying is 5G compatibility with Malaysian Telcos. I understand that Vivo releases new firmware very fast. But will it also include Malaysian 5G telco needed firmware upgrades ?

If concern on 5g then wait for Malaysia official set. Most probably will come next quarter. Malaysia official set shouldn't have any problem with 5g especially those Telco that offered vivo as their device plan.

I heard that only the mtk version x90 and x90 pro will come

X90P+ most likely china only, but fortunately band support is more than enough for our 5g support (unlike xiaomi cn model)

Interesting. Where is the reference mentioning that it has sufficient band support for Malaysia ? Unless someone has already tried it .....

Try and use the built in camera in Instagram or FB. Android videos will always look crap if taken using the built in cam on Insta. On iphone, it looks the best.

Did you watch the review on the 3 phones ( Vivo X90 pro+, iPhone pro max, Samsung S22 Ultra ) which I quoted?

The reviewer says for video quality, iPhone did not do well in low light, but Vivo wins on video but
did not do well on the microphone .....

My X60 was very slow on YES 5G, when I was at Sg Wang on Tuesday.

Any setting I should be aware of?

For instagram, I always upload from gallery after taken from my cameras. Looks okay what.

If you look at alot influencers & celebs using iPhone to shoot their video & selfie, first thing you will noticed is the video is shaky as if the OIS & EIS on the iPhone is not working. This issue don't happen on flagship Android phones.

Yes if upload from gallery is fine. I am talking about directly recording using the built in camera. It always ends up blurry. Basically the apps are not optimized for android not matter how good the hardware

Android has to support a variety of hardware, likely a generic API could not utilize the maximum hardware capability of the phone.

Android should come out with a set of API which allows programmer to utilise the maximum capability of the hardware, and I read that Android 13 is addressing this issue. In the mean time use the vendor provide camera app is the best workaround.

The cheapest I found is rm4531 12/256 and rm4636 12/512.

It is so much cheaper than other sellers, other sellers are selling around rm5359 for 12/256 and rm5499 for 12/512.

Wonder why such a big gap.
