Discussion = comparing? ROFL gimme a break!

I'm not even saying that 00 is ZOMGITSTEHBOMBWOW. I have issues about it as well, and I'm more than happy to voice it out (you can check a few posts in this thread if you like). I just dont get how some people automatically compare it to UC and say things like "Oh but you wont find this in <insert UC series Gundam of choice here> cause it r h4x CE and AD can go dai lol".

I mean, it's like...yeah we get the picture, you guys are fanboys of UC and probably fap daily to pictures of Char and Amuro. Just dont bring in the fanboyism to the discussions, cause trust me, it's NOT a discussion.

Stopped watching 00 since Nadhaleeh was revealed. Just cant stand those hairs/wires on a Gundam.
However i am no hardcore fans of the Gundam series, watch SEED, Destiny and i am ok with it.

Exactly! Different people have different opinions, and I dont mind if you dislike Gundam 00 and discuss about it in a mature manner. I'm just asking why oh why must there be comparions made?

If you think Seed had GODLIKE characters, then just say it and be done with it! If you think the Thrones are Bandai's excuse for milking more money from gunpla-ers, then just say it and be done with it! Why must there be an additional comment somehow linking it to the UC metaverse when CLEARLY they are both different and unique in their own ways? Not only does it bring out the fanboy in you, but obviously there will be hostilities exchanged when fanboys go up against each other. Why must this happen and everyone ends up forming camps and start flinging shit at each other?

I've always posted with facts and welcome any discussion, be it UC or AU as long as it's Gundam related.

I don't see any reason NOT to bring in UC characters, or even AUs like GW, GX etc for comparison with 00 as long as we support it with facts. It's like talking cars eg talking about Toyota and forbidding people to talk about various models of Toyota.

While I get your point about fanboyism, you should understand that which set of fans, traditional ones or newly CE/00 converts, that always post oneliners or your so called fanboyist posts. I don't mind people posting stuff like "I like (insert name)" but at least state the reason and some further elaboration.

Until new Gundam fans post this way, I don't think traditional fans would stop the bashing.

And you DO know that this will continue to happen as those "new" fans will post meaningless crap, so why bother?

while the newer gundam fans are the newborn tards, that only saw gundam for the first time.

Well yeah, I do admit that some of the posters like to post one liners, but I guess both sides have their own share of people like this. I suppose the best that the rest of us can do is to try our best not to provoke each other even more until it ends up like a flamefest.

I have absolutely no problems at all with the way you post. Now if only you can rub off some of you onto the others lol.

Btw, just to prove that a decent (well, almost lol) discussion IS possible without comparisons, take a look at a thread from /m/ (you probably need IE7 for this).

I might be wrong, but it seems sometimes you do get worked up by the so called bashing of 00 because you do like that series.

We do have good 00 discussions by those who watch it, it's just that a lot of traditional UC fans can't accept it that's why the discussions don't expand into a big scale. Traditional fans do have more Gundam knowledge for lengthy discusssions because they truly appreciate the entire Gundam/UC universe, not that I'm boasting, but it's true in most forums.

To have a good 00 discussion, those here who are watching it must take the initiative to do so.
There are so much to talk about in that series, like the mecha designs, character development and background, storyline and plot, settings, or if anyone is interested, the entire cinematography and choreography of the anime.

I don't watch 00, so I ain't gonna start. Let's hope someone does.

i could get some complaints out about it, but i chose not to. cuz as the mod dude said, fanbois vs fanbois shit tossing is just pointless and ugly.

I do like the series, but not because I'm particular about one metaverse, but because I grew up loving Gundams in general.

I did attempt to post constructive comments about 00, but seems like everytime I do, I dont get replies (lol), which is why threads like /m/ are nice to browse through. Oh how I wish the discussions could be like that of that attachment I gave earlier. T_T

bout your comment to me, lets put it this way, when any sort of new gundam comments were posted, (eg: 00/seed/wing etc) and having some attempts to gather some discussions about it, it just gets shot down immediately. sure, we can ignore those posts, but eventually it gets annoying. i mean if you look back at the posts ive made, im pretty sure it has something or another to do with gundam 00, and if you ask me, quite frankly, i think your just being yet another elitist oldtype gundam fanboi that really didnt give a shit bout the new gundam 00.
