Finally able to watch gundam 00 11 and 12..

I beggining to like Graham. He shows that he with a mere flag can take on a Gundam head to head.. Esp Dynames vs Custom Flag. The Gundam pilot depends to much on their MS than their skills..

Poor Marina.. she trying to help her country out but everyone is being an ass about it.. Lol.. Will we see a romantic relationship with Setsuna later on??

Gundam know no romantic! Their romance story suck like shit! With onli the exception of MS 08th Team where the main character give up everything just the save her gf which is with the Zeon!

I thought the relationship between Char, Lalah, and Amuro was quite nicely done. It was one of the reasons why their conflict never got resolved. Kamille and Four's mutual understanding wasn't as great as their predecessors' since it did not involve any third party and the amount of exposure given was pretty short. I believe the relationship between Seabook and Cecily was well planned by Tomino, yet we didn't get the chance to see it blossom due to the short timespan of the movie.

Shiro and Aina's relationship was awkward IMO. I didn't really enjoy that one. A loyal hotblooded commander going nuts over an enemy pilot which he had zero knowledge about was pretty much unbelievable. If both of them were newtypes then I'd accepted it as mutual understanding aka Lalah-Amuro / Kamille-Four; but it was simply awkward. Endangering an entire squadron for an unknown chick... way to go, Shiro... way to go.

But honestly, it ain't that bad after all... especially during the scene where both Shiro and Aina got trapped in the snow.

I actually liked Kou and Nina's relationship despite Nina being a twat. It was full of shyness and subtly in the beginning and it didn't occur spontaneously. Both parties gradually realised the person deep within instead of focusing on first impressions. Don't mention the stupid ending where Gato got involved... that should not been in the plot.

I don't mind the lack of good romance in Gundam. It's a war/scifi drama, not a teen flick. The over emphasis of love stories will backfire as shown in GS and GSD where everyone HAS to be paired up, regardless of awkwardness and absurdity. If anything, I'd like to see how the infatuations turn out in Char's Deleted Affair... more and more Zeon chicks fall for Char in the manga while Haman descends deeper and deeper in her own one sided love affair. There's one handsome Zeon pilot who pilots a Kampfer who seems to be a hit with girls too. It's a pity that I can't read Jap as I've 8 volumes of untranslated CDA in my harddisk.

We'll see how Barnage-Mineva/Audrey turns out... Another newtype fling perhaps?

with the exception of the era of CE and Jesus Yamato, as a general rule, it never pays to love a gundam pilot:
everyone ends up in a ball of fire or gets fried by beam sabers or loses a limb

From what I noticed, romance has never been the strong point of the franchise, especially under Tomino.
