I'm in full gear 99% of the time. That 1%maybe is going to the Taman shops to get burger or smokes.

Boots, riding pants, jacket, gloves, and a good helmet. Even when I do squid on that 1%, I still have at least my helmet, boots and gloves on.

It's hot, but I rather save some skin and bones.
*
same mindset as you.
it takes times to put on all the gears before can even ride off
it may not be as cooling as not wearing a safety jacket (I don't really feel hot, got used to it)
BUT sweating is much better than bleeding/bone fracture
and spending more time putting on the gears is much better than spending time in the hospital.

I'm AGATT all the time even when i ride to work. unless i'm go out to nearby shops to tapau - i'll put on my lighter weight ride jacket and use my mountain bike knee guard.

not sure if you consider this is full gear or not. Other than my fullface helmet, this is what i wear when i ride.

Always remember. No matter how careful you are.
there is always Motobodo around you.

some carbodo too. change lane like you are invisible.
*
This is why i AGATT all the time.
You'll never know when shit will happen.

at times I get teased , and some will give me the "you are such a show off" look.

I know one guy in my office, quite a close friend before this - he laughed and teased me when he saw me putting on the safety gears at the office car park.
Know what, about a year later , he had a bike accident. His knee hit the tarmac and his kneecap fractured. Other than this injury, he had those usual bike injuries such as road rash, etc.

I was so tempted to remind him of that day he laughed and made fun of me for wearing full gears.

LOL.

Suggest you put on a jacket? Quite easy. Looks funny, a squid in shorts and crocs with jacket. But why not?

*
i guess some people can predict when accidents will happen.
that's why they dare to ride without safety gears.

I don't have this ability to predict. Hence AGATT.

You wear those boots the entire day? How does your feet fare? Haven’t spent extended periods with my boots, similar height as yours. Other than the sole being super stiff and reinforced pad for shifter, it looks *ok* for daily wear.

I think yours is full gear, no sliding protection for hips and butts but that’s not mission critical. We don’t slide like Rossi most of the time. It is really carbodo and motobodo most of the time.

If I was riding a scooter I might use a lower cut shoe instead of stiff boots.
*
These shoes are comfy enough to wear the whole day , especially when it is seasoned. And it still provide enough protection. I wear this in the office and go jalan jalan.

If I'm not wrong the model is TCX Mood. And it's waterproof as well. Go check it out.

call you a pussy
or make fun of you by saying "you going racing?"
or say "so scared then better don't ride".

some are better skilled than me of course, can cilok between cars at full speed, I see also kecut.
You may have good skills.
but on a public road you are not alone. There are road users with no skills.

dandanfireman always say riders must put their high ego aside when riding on a public road. We are not the only road users.

you just need one donkey to make you crash.

My daily commute is only 10km 1-way, so to and fro is around 20-25km. I ATGATT on my commute except for riding pants. I just wear my work cargo pants as it is too inconvenient to change pants.
Bro
Protect your knees as well.

If you remember the story I shared, my buddy fractured his kneecap just from a simple fall from his motorbike.

Yeah getting a motowolf strap on knee guard for work. Seems like they come with viscoelastic pads, at least in the photos.

Yeah don't forget to match the surface you're mounting on, there's the curved or flat mount.
*
for curved surface on my helmet, I use this epoxy putty to mold the exact shape of the helmet curve and my gopro mount surface.

Did the same thing for my helmets...but my epoxy putty is stuck directly to the mount unlike the video...just had to rough it up kow2 n make sure to push the putty into the grooves/scratches on the mount.

After applying 3m tape i stuck it on and clamped it overnight..its been stuck there for 3-4 years..i used the cheap bondite epoxy putty (rm10)
*
I didn't stick it directly onto the helmet

Use 3m heavy duty double sided tape on both sides.
Still holding, almost 4 years now.

But GoPros after 4 are sooooo friggin heavy...

I really cannot brain how ppl ride with that brick on their helmet....n thats not even including the brick of a mic adapter yet
*
I biasa already.
I'm wearing a relatively light weight helmet ( rpha70).
With the helmet cam and intercom, no more light weight. But used to it, so no issues.

So they had arrived. The pads feels similar to d3o I guess, but seems to be less 'nice' when compared to my d3o pads. I wish the velcro are longer, or my legs are just too huge as the straps at the thighs are just barely touching.

Guess I'll be getting some weird looks from my colleagues tomorrow laugh.gif
The velcro straps will become longer over the time. Don't worry. Just make sure it doesn't come off easily.

Don't bother about how others look at you. Because it's anything happen and you are not ATGATT, that will not be there to help you.

How to close all the way when the strap is there?

Close all the way means closed until the visor clip locks and have water tight lid.

Total RM4258. About 10% of my bike value.
At least I feel comfortable and safe.

Treat the money you spend in safety gears as an insurance.

This is how I look at it.

JK063 With rear LED. 360 from shopee.

This arrived about a week ago. Bought this to replace my JK069 which ended up worst for wear after 34k and 18months. Had to send to shop to have a 2 zippers and velcro straps replaced.

Sorry.
But you sure you bought ori Komine?

I'm still wearing this jk103 since 2016. Wear it daily Monday to Friday as I ride to work.
Zippers and velcro all still working fine.
I bought it from motogear.

Didnt notice any holographic tags on the jacket itself. No idea then, threw away all the tags already if it was on the tags. Haha
*
The holographic tag is embedded onto the jacket, next to or below the label on the jacket.

If don't have, most likely it's not original

Probably. Wouldn't doubt it.

Good to know anyway. Thanks for the info.

These is this Lazada seller that hails from Japan, ships from Japan. Lists a lot of komine stuff. I wonder if the stuff is genuine.

*
Next time for the peace of mind, just buy from authorized sellers.
Motogear, Motoworld, LSH, etc.

Too many fakes are sold over the internet and worse of all, they are not cheap either.

That's why I stop going into these shops unless I really have things to buy

Scared every time go see look see look, something will follow me back.
