That guy takes riding for granted...can get accident even 100 meters from home. Gloves are a must. He was fortunate and I hope he learns from his mistake and changes his thinking and attitude towards safety gear

I want to say padan muka, but, don't wish for anybody to get into accident. Gloves are really easy to put on, so is the jacket. Riding boots ok ok.

For me, I think helmet paling mafan cause need to put on my ear plugs, bandana then finally helmet.

If you have extra money, I would suggest that you get yourself a riding glove that has 'bridge' between pinkie and your ring fingers. Meaning both fingers are connected by a piece of leather/fabric to minimise the risk of broken pinkie.

btw want to ask for riding boots, is it worth to get those full ones or just get those generic ones, like riding to work then walk around with the boots macam lcly

Missing from the list is Scorpion...which is also in the China camp...as is MT and Lazer.

Does it matter? Yes and no. I'm ok with them as long as it meets ECE22.05 (now 22.06).

But build quality can be hit or miss.

Even HJC farms out the lower end helmets to vietnam. The higher end Rpha line is from Korea.

This was my helmet I was using for a week while in Vietnam. Cute isn't it? Hahaha. Let's just say helmets and helmet laws in Vietnam is questionable at best. Some people ride with bicycle helmets on.

My helmet that I had left in VN before COVID basically just disintegrated.

Started riding again after more than 30yrs and not familiar with biking gears especially the jacket portion; my problem is that I'm over 6ft tall and skinny whereby getting a jacket that fits will be short incl the sleeves while getting one that's long enough will be too large

newbie rider here 3 years ago, am still using  my openface ls2 spitfire (first purchased helmet because i dunno any better) but am gonna switch to full face helmet soon for daily. feel very unsafe with the chin area so expose 
one unfortunate accident and there goes my chin...kinda scared

no......hell no...dont need to see also i can imagine..
the side of helmet is shorter and doesnt cover the cheeks area i already feel damn insecure and can imagine the amount of damage that can be done to it without protection...
but problem is, FF helmet head shape is quite hard to guess. so its hard to purchase  FF helmet.

yes one should wear for a few mins or something to see whether there's pressure point on the head but the FF helmet i'm using. I dont feel  any pressure point on my head but after 90 mins of riding, my ears HURTS like a bitch cuz that area is too tight. it feels fine when putting on but the pain/redness only comes after 90 mins or more....how la to test helmet liddat. my ride to hatyai was a painful one when my ears start hurting till i had to stop at R&R for a breather.

I would say mine's oval? or intermediate oval? there's no review mentioning the shape for lazer helmet so i can't compare with that. Purchased it after knowing my head size
