Anybody got budget cam recommendation? I realize for bike I don’t need a screen or touch screen — difficult to use with gloves. If anything, need tactile buttons just to turn on and record.
What's your budget?
Why not just get a action cam and mount it on your helmet? I recommend as sjcam. Cheap and good.
My friend using MT flip up, no longer can talk to me over intercomm after 80km/h when I am using open face Jcruise.
So, your assumption (was also same as mine) was proven incorrect.
I was able to comm clearly with another rider in full face helmet up to around 110km/h, but that's the fastest I ride lah so no chance to test it above 110km/h.
That friend using MT had since bought a Neotec2
Sorry but when your are riding, its better not to get distracted by having a conversation with your friends over the intercom. You need full focus and alert to ride safely.
Why lah.... every time go look at helmet shop fella sure ask what bike you ride ah?
It's like looking at condoms and salesgirl come ask you how big your kahuna is ah?
Many have the mentality that full face can only be worn if you ride big bikes.
Those days when I was riding Vulcan . Many members laugh at me Because I wear full face ( and full safety gears). They laugh and say ride this type of bike must have the Harley rider look only gaya. You know, Harley rider look.
My late grandfather, bless his soul, when he bought me my first bike (EX5) when I was 16 much to the chagrin of my mom....., just had only one thing to say to me when we went to collect the bike. 皮包铁. Translated "skin wrap iron".
I would very much appreciate a few more extra layers of fabric, foam and plastic over the skin.......
Although I only rode the EX5 for a year before going overseas and another 6 months on my FZR..... Some 25 years later when I got back into biking, those words still rings clear.
皮包铁. Translated "skin wrap iron". Sadly many don't take this phrase seriously. Some even laugh at me saying if so scared might as well don't ride.
Sounds like me. Started riding after 20 years of driving since need to go to school after work and traffic just gets worse everyday. Worn full face helm, full padded jackets with boots and gloves on a kapcai since riding to KL city center is scary AF. Lol.
Don't forget to protect your knees too Knee is one of the high impact point.
On Wednesday, one Thai guy told me that one Malaysian biker's foot was crashed when his big bike fell at his foot at Betong immigration. There was a lot of blood. His friend from Malaysia came in car to send him to hospital and another friend rode his bike back.
A reminder to all, motorcycle boots are important.
Sadly many don't see the importance to wear proper riding gears, that includes riding boots. Even seasoned riders as well. And worst are those wearing slippers only.
This is why I'm always ATGATT. Whether it is just a short ride, or a long ride or ride to office. I'm ATGATT. I rather sweat, than bleed and having road rash like him. He could had avoided getting these road rashes and open wound if only he was wearing his safety jacket and gloves
anyone who thinks sliding on tarmac is nothing. you can feel it by lightly going your hand over it. just go lightly and feel it. imagine when you kiss the tarmac at riding speed.
he was lucky that he didnt fracture his shoulder. even with these open wounds, it's painful. the pain will be there for at least 2 weeks, especially during mandi time.
