but if u flash it by yourself then u need to redo

bos,u know any simple apps that can set pixel phone to start-up itself? sohai phone dont have schedule start-up so my alarm clock can trigger

edit:weakness i found in pixel phone
-alarm clock will not triggered when the phone is off
-u cannot remove google search in the main screen
-camera dont have time/date stamp
-cannot use ordinary charger,must use PD/fast charging charger

Anyone here is still using their Pixel 7 rooted? I’m thinking about rooting again for 5G. Just wondering if few things are working like Google Pay, CIMB OCTO/Clicks, Hong Leong Bank, TNG, and ShopeeFood. Thanks!

Just sharing, I'm currently in China and I was initially shocked that my Pixel couldn't get data roaming (I'm on Maxis with the 7-day pass) until I found out that the APN must be the one with unet and not the max4g one.

So if anyone comes to China and roams with Maxis, do take note to use the APN with unet.

does root and enable 5g will improve mobile data?

saw many report that pixel phone connection very bad in malaysia.

I actually have no problem on Pixel 7 Pro with Maxis. But the last time I tried Yes 5G through the root method, it was the worst experience ever, although Samsung users were experiencing the same dropouts. I'm going to try it again as it is the only 5g plan with no fup

All the apps I mentioned here are working with root.

Yup rooted. All app works. Gpay, tng, mae, cimbclicks, shopee.(not using hong leong)

To enable VoWifi via Shizuku for Maxis, changing the APN to unet is a pre-requisite too
Not sure what's wrong with this Max4g APN

1. Yea.. the disadvantage of any stock android for now.

2. Can remove, use custom launcher.

3. Yea.. stock camera app. Maybe 3rd party app should be able if you need it.

4. Can charge using ordinary charger, but slow. Fast charger also slow. Must use PD specified.

Go facebook, search "google pixel malaysia" and ask there.. there a guy name "gurvin abruzzi" can do it for you, but I have no experience from his shop.

5G will give u wonderful speed but then again u wont notice it that much ... for whatsapp and browsing net lah
anyway all the above will work but most likely u need to install safetynet

as for DNB network the 5G is stable and quiet good but then later 2nd network maybe back to square 1 as per 3G, 4G

What 5g plans you guys are using now? Used Yes for a while it constantly downgraded me to 4g because the dropouts and SA+NSA is removed, but still only Yes is the only 5g without FUP afaik

I am on Unifi Mobile ... YES tend to drop to 4G if detect a non supported device

So with Unifi you don't have to constantly change the NSA settings with the Network Signal app?

i use Network Signal app and just mod it accordingly to the xda thread and it stays forever in the setting even though i restart
