Anyone using Maxis 5g? My phone is rooted but it's been a long time since I messed with the network app. I have 5g for Maxis. Anyone who's not rooted can confirm?

Literally tested mine a minute ago. 5g for maxis/hotlink need network guru setup but magisk volte module is no longer needed.

Weird. Do you lose 5g after updating? Like do you need to use the network guru app again after security patches?

I didnt lose mine last time. It stays after update.

i lost mine after update ... now on Aug update

most ewallet/banking apps does not operate on rooted device. the apps will check if your phone is rooted and will not allow to work.

Mine works by using usnf module. It works pretty well, its been quite reliable since i got my 6 pro days. Lol yes i root a few days after release. Same story for my current 7 pro too.

Most Malaysian banking apps are working actually. Just need the right module installed

Yes 5g is so troublesome to use for Pixel. I think because they are the only one that offers truly unlimited data plan without fup, and they don't want you to use it on unsupported phone or those 5g portable router to share data.

I'm guessing this is already common knowledge to most of you but it doesn't change the fact it's frustrating as a Pixel 7 user. Was out
having coffee with a good friend and he is using a U-Mobile SIM on his Moto Edge 30 with 5G connectivity straight out of the box. And
being an ex Nexus and Pixel user himself, he decided to switch his U-Mobile SIM into my JP spec Pixel 7 Pro to test 5G connectivity. As
expected, the phone immediately switched onto U-Mobile's 5G network in Johor Bahru and delivered 1180 Mbps download and 148 Mbps
upload speed. Being a Maxis user for many years now, I am still struggling to even get a straight answer from Maxis as to why they can't
support 5G connectivity on the Pixel 6 and 7 range without having to root and go around in circles.

If you look at what happened to UMobile's case, seems like both parties need to work together. For UMobile, their 5G works after the P7s are updated with the June patch and I believe UMobile also opened up their 5G to P7s.

So we can only hope that Google will open up in A14 and Maxis also allows any phones with 5G to connect.
