Movie was ok but the ending sucked. It's like an important part was missing. But imo Josh Hartnett gave a good performance.

lol..this movie was ok ok..only terkejut coz they effect.josh hartnett act so good..love him!!
the ending quite sad la..but i think got sequel.i think stella is gonna kill the rest,coz at then end her face like wanna revenge i dont think eben die,coz dia ambik separuh darah only and the end like can hear his breathing. 2.5 stars only i give out of 5 but is josh i give 5/5..hehe |

too many ppl to come out after the vampire leaves... (around 10+?) how can they survive the 30days (with limited food and i dont think they come out during the 30days) -.-

Yes, they (or rather, Eben) did.
This is a common problem with book to film adaptations; always bits and pieces of information left out, leaving viewers slightly confused. Anyway, back to your question. According to the comic(s), there were around 462 people in Barrow just before the attack, and 19 after. The survivors hid in an abandoned industrial furnace (basement-like) and Eben went out for food whenever possible. |

I don't like these movies either....30 Days of Rubbish is more like it, I don't want to start where's the flaw on these movies. 1408 is better, at least the beginning of it

Ah, it's not really scary. I was quite startled and grossed-out after seeing the initial vampire bursting out of nowhere and macking on a human like a chewtoy, but after that, the movie became predictable and boring.
The boss vampire's lines were so lame and pretentious. Like he's making some biblical pronouncement on the human and vampire condition every time he speaks. Blech. I liked the ending though. If they had let him live, due to some kind of 'miracle' or something, I would've started throwing things. Overall, it's not worth the money (for me). Luckily, it was my friend's treat |
