in my office right now, maxis is quite bad, that i ported from UM to maxis for a few days, then immediately ported back to UM and never look back.
won't mind paying the bill if it fits, since i could claim company for my monthly bills.

Very cheap only, the adapter just cost rm1 when bought together with phone, promo from certain resellers.

I suppose that's one of the risk you take with being an early adopter or having the phone launched in our market early before getting the reviews in. As someone mentioned a few posts earlier, we've dealt with an exploding phone before (Note 7, anyone?), so what's a little overheating? Hahaha...

Spoke to Apple directly via phone, after 2 hours on the line being transferred around, finally the senior supervisor/ manager took over the case and told me he saw those pics and he would personally return it if its his unit, scratches are obvious and absurd, he reassured me they will contact maxis to issue a replacement. He said Maxis is not their accredited resellers like Machines/ Switch etc, they are third party so it will take a while. He will go directly to maxis's dispute team, which handle cases like these, and get them to send instruction to the stores directly to issue replacement. I'm expecting 2-3 weeks for these...

i use to apply it on 13pm the ringke brand something for the lens after it crack then you will have nightmare in removing it, the residue sticking to your lens is just ewwwww

your iphone lens is not tat fragile anyway won't need extra protector and also it will affect your camera vision which reduce quality for your video/picture taking

So I went and trade in my 12pm 256 for 15pm. And the 12pm condition after 3 years are:

1. No lens protector since 1st day in 2020: camera lens no scratches at all

2. Using cheapo silicon casing since 2021: Very small dents (<1mm) at the stainless steel frames corner, was put as heavy scratches by the staffs

3. Screen intact: cheapo privacy screen TG, changed once in 2023

4. Everything else same as when 1st bought

Was quoted 1650 + 200. So my conclusions are good protector to cover the frames, camera lens are not needed and TG can find good ones.

Btw got bad experience just now, i was one of the early person in the que. Then one of the staff approached me asking me if i want to trade in. So when i said yes, they asked me to follow them out of the que. Turns out that was a big mistake since the trade in staff is not the same as the preorder. So i lost my position in the que and missed all the free gifts

some updates on my case- Apple called this morning to update, apparently its a common issue, he said from the report it shows Maxis has 20+ similar cases and reports, celcom digi all also got, but umobile has highest number of reports amongst all the Telcos..

my unit will be replaced on next batch which is Oct 13... so take note whoever ordered from Telcos, the next batch will be Oct 13.... after that will be Oct 18 yes only 5 days gap for next batch)... this info comes from Apple, so should be reliable i guess?

Not sure about being picky, but when open box and see scratches all over the phone..I doubt anyone would accept it, unless desperate buyers maybe..it’s definitely Apple QC and partly the titanium material issue made it prone to scratches while packing I guess..
Not just telco, even Apple I’m sure…but because my case is from telco so he looked into telco reports…he also emphasized that the buyers remorse law is applicable even in Malaysia, where customers are entitled to reject products during unboxing on the spot in their shop..if bawa balik rumah then cannot….but again I’ve also opted for maxis safe device..so 2 ways there…

he also confirmed that cases like these are entitled for brand new unsealed box units, no flat white box or seed unit (they call it refurbished units). Personally I’m not too ocd with these and would take it if it’s not too much, but the scratches in person is really bad, when compared to other units…rather wait 2-3 weeks than living with it for the next 12 months…
