Sorry forgot to mention this is for Maxis Postpaid. Because Maxis conned everyone pay rm10 extra for their 5G. The government decided to stop Telcos for charging for 5G.

You are right. They are damn smart and are playing around with the law. If you are on the new postpaid package which most, if not all Iphone 15 subscribers are on already now you are already eligible for 5G at the new price plan.

So the onus will be on Maxis to upgrade the old plans to 5G for free.

I dont think there would be any reason for enforcement. They came up with new packages and new prices for Iphone 15. Subcribers willingly agreed to the new package price. Never was there a mention there would be additonal Rm10 to be charged on top for 5G services.

But the for older plans, yes you have to buy the 5G Data Booster Subscription for Rm10/Month.

Now I know dikae drives a vellfire/alphard anh30.

Ah... If they put it like this then there could get penalized.

That is true. I think they would have to upgrade anyone in the near future because it is the government's directive. Those that have 'upgraded' their packages can hold on and wait and see.

IINM someone did mention tha Maxis is giving another month free. They should not be charging now since the announcement by the government. If they charge then just turn it off. Im pretty sure they will try get all their users on the 5G backbone so that they could reduce the dependancy and congestion on their 4G network, not to mention lower the maintainence costs of the 4G infrastructers as well.

Just a minor update on security fixes. Nothing much. So wont make much difference.

That is why I use camera protectors on all my phones. But some feel camera protectors are pointless then this is the risk to take and the price to pay.

There is a Switch near my office. Going there tomorrow to get mine done. Once done will update here.

I dont think it is necessary. Will just walk in.

Replacing the battery for which model?

I think I just read that its better to make an appointment beforehand to make sure that particular outlet has stock for the model of yours. Will update again once I get it replaced.

Mine is 6+ and on the battery status it is showing "Service". It has around 50% battery life left only.

An update after the visit to Switch Service Centre.

For those intending to walk in to get your battery or screen replaced, do call in advance and check first if they have stocks for the part on your phone. I walked in for my Iphone 7+, waited 20 mins to be called and end up they told me no stock for the battery for my Iphone 7+.
When I enquired futher if any of their other branches have it, they checked on the system and said no stocks at other branches. I then asked them if they had stock for the battery of the Iphone 7+ in the first place, the SA told me they only had one and it was already taken up. Then the SA told me that they could still proceed to change the battery but at normal price of Rm299 because the Rm66 ones are out of stock.

Done. I walked out. Wasted my 1 hour going there and Rm3 parking fees.

Short of calling them a scammer, they should not have created this promo if they have limited stocks for the batteries and screen. This is false marketing and bad publicity for an AASP.

That is for that particular branch. But as they SA there checked on their system, non of their branches in KV have stocks for the 7+. So yeah....

Its not that. If you only have 1 piece for each at a particular outlet, you dont need to do promo la. That is wasting time.

Seriously good price. But only with the blue.
