Get x-ray and MRI first. Get a proper diagnosis. Usually before going to chiro you should have a frontal and side of at least your spine.
I have been to numerous chiro, and like you, experienced worse pain after several sessions, or in some cases didn't feel any improvements. Until a friend recommended me this Chinese doc, and got better from then on. In all cases, my x-ray was shown, or was asked to show it so they know what are my main issues.
Be aware of your daily habits to correct then. Posture, sitting posture. Some tend to lean on wall, stand on one side of leg, due to hip imbalances and so on. It is not a one off thing for serious cases, it takes time, so be patient.
I notice one thing from my experiences, those that do the standard overall cracking your back, kegs, hands, neck, are not right for me. While it's very comfortable at first, coz it works to decompress your spine and all, it does not get to the root of the issues I was facing, hip imbalances, spine out of whack. Good luck!
